Actually agree with you here, I watch Nicol more so for his sense of humour rather than his analytics. Giving Firmino a 4 is completely unjustified, he was really not that bad. A 6 AT LEAST. Yeah maybe he was nudged off the ball sometimes and did blow a very late chance, but it's ludicrous to think that renders a rating of 4. And then he goes on say we should have started Benteke...NO! Just no!

Lallana is shit but at least he works his socks off, unlike Benteke. This false 9 formation we have with Firmino has been working as our best formation under Klopp, and there was no reason to change it.

Typical sheep answer....except it's not working. No point dribbling endlessly and earn possession for no result. Benteke at least has been producing results and that's all that matters at the moment

Did you even watch the game? It only 'didn't work' because our players hadn't the slightest clue where the goal is. This same formation has helped us smash City 4-1, Chelsea 3-1 and score 3 against Arsenal.

Liverpool's attacking shape and form dip massively when Benteke starts on the pitch. He nullifies creativity, and also misses a lot of easy chances, which is not good when you don't allow your team to create many chances in the first place.

To get Benteke firing would mean to betray everything that we have been working on with Klopp, only to start it all again in the summer. It's completely short termist and unstable, so there's a good reason why so many 'sheep' haven't warmed to that idea.

Sheep answer because it's one I know I'd get from Facebook and other wagonner 2 weeks behind.

2 matches you've quoted were an age ago against open attacking sides. Firmino has struggled against compressed sides and lallana has done sweet f**k all with contributing to the final product, Benteke has. No point huffing and puffing for 90 minutes for no end product. Benteke can also help with the issues defending set pieces, something we badly need at the moment

Ah, so you're a football hipster. Rejecting any football opinion that is too mainstream. You must also reject the idea that Messi is the world's best player because that school of thought is also simply too mainstream!

So a 4-2-3-1 formation with Firmino and Lallana struggles against more compressed sides...I guess that's why we totally outplayed Man United and made numerous great chances.

How the hell could they be any worse against a compressed side than an unimaginative Liverpool when Benteke starts up top? The last time we started Benteke against a compressed side, West Ham pulled our pants down while Benteke stood still in the box offering nothing.

If sacrificing our creativity in favour of dull, toothless football with Benteke is your idea of a good game plan, then godspeed to you.

What we are doing at the moment with lallana borders on insanity.

And no I don't give a shit about playing less attractive football to win a football game, if you want to support barca, Arsenal etc, piss off already you'd better suit their profile of fans

Oh what dribble. There is no perspective in your post, especially the last paragraph. There is a difference between merely unattractive football, and football that is pure shite and ineffective. So I'm a shit Liverpool fan because I refuse to endorse a way of playing that makes us a lot less likely to win...ridiculous.
