I agree jack... Unfortunately.

But will they even want to come after our 6-1 smashing by the heavyweights of stoke...

5-0 at half time. Far out. I know we aren't playing well and haven't for a few months now but that is just embarrassing.

Yep, very poor performance. Quite probably sealed Rogers' fate me thinks.

I don't think Alls well in the camp.
Joe Allen starts Sterling doesn't.
No striker selected.
Add that to a non existent defence and you get what you deserve.
Well played Stoke you did us a favour showing up the imposters we have in the squad.
Johnson no farewell.
End of season awards held before the last game.
How fast can we get the German in to run the show?
I'm expecting a large turnover of players in the summer.

BR has form with saying things that bite him on the arse.

Only a couple of days ago he declared that his job is 150% safe. After last night, his tune went upside down.

Possibly, they may not have wanted to gamble on an unknown quantity from Belgium if they weren't sure he'd cut it. They get hung out to dry (and rightly so) for similar gambles like Aspas.

I think the time to buy him was last season when he was coming back from an Achilles injury, his stock wouldn't of been as high and he already had at least one solid season of EPL with a decent goals return.

In any case, good player that'll score goals wherever he plays, just not sure he's worth 30mill. If they did something like 20 + Lambert I think that would be acceptable, but considering Liverpool need major surgery, saving that 10mill is going to help spend it in another area.

On a more bizarre note, Kolo Toure has signed a contract extension.

Benteke can be good but let's be honest, his best football requires the long ball style of play. We don't play that way so would he really suit our systems and set up?

He brutalises defenders instead of using movement to get in behind defences. If he could use his quickness a little bit more than just relying on pure brute force then he'd be a decent get at under £20m.

Being an Aston Villa fan, I couldn't agree more. Benteke does f**k all off he ball and for him to be effective, the style of play has to revolve around him.

Sherwood must've changed the style of play for you guys mate as he hit some form when Tim took over. Thing is Benteke could easily do more off the ball as he has pace as well, obviously lacks it between the ears.

Yeah Sherwood simply told the players to get the ball to Benteke asap and play off him. Under Lambert who wanted to play a passing game Benteke hardly seemed at all interested and his lack of movement off the ball was for all to see.

Sometimes it seems as if he can't be bothered moving into good positions and expects people to hand it to him on a plate.

Do you think the right manager could give him the kick up the ass to get involved all the time that he needs? Has the talent to be a really good, dangerous all round forward but seems content to be a one dimensional forward.

I believe so. He's still very young and I don't think that it'll take too much to get him adjusting his style a little especially the top managers. He certainly has everything else going for him.

£32.5 mil is his release clause.

We could get Jackson Martinez or Lacazette for that.

Could probably get Aubameyang and Icardi for that.

Or Tevez and Aubameyang.

But no, we will pull the trigger on a guy who will play like Andy f**king Carroll for us.

We will never learn.

Premier league proven needs to f**k off.

On the upside, they're looking at Clyne, had a bit rejected at 10, need to make it closer to 12 to get the green light. Poor Southampton.

Rodgers review is next week, Ancelotti and Klopp both heavily linked to take over.
