Whoever may have been close to signing will be high tailing it now after seeing what we dished up today, woeful.
I agree jack... Unfortunately.
But will they even want to come after our 6-1 smashing by the heavyweights of stoke...
5-0 at half time. Far out. I know we aren't playing well and haven't for a few months now but that is just embarrassing.
Apparently Arturo Vidal is close to signing.
But like usual it will be crap and he will sign somewhere else.
Benteke rumours continue to swirl.
A good player but not for 30mill
Same with a Walcott - Sterling swap.
Being an Aston Villa fan, I couldn't agree more. Benteke does f**k all off he ball and for him to be effective, the style of play has to revolve around him.Benteke can be good but let's be honest, his best football requires the long ball style of play. We don't play that way so would he really suit our systems and set up?
He brutalises defenders instead of using movement to get in behind defences. If he could use his quickness a little bit more than just relying on pure brute force then he'd be a decent get at under £20m.
bottom line, championship clubs rely on quality, not youthU21 footballers played less than 2% of minutes in 27 teams out of 98, including at Champions League finalists Barcelona and Juventus.

Sherwood must've changed the style of play for you guys mate as he hit some form when Tim took over. Thing is Benteke could easily do more off the ball as he has pace as well, obviously lacks it between the ears.
Yeah Sherwood simply told the players to get the ball to Benteke asap and play off him. Under Lambert who wanted to play a passing game Benteke hardly seemed at all interested and his lack of movement off the ball was for all to see.
Sometimes it seems as if he can't be bothered moving into good positions and expects people to hand it to him on a plate.
I believe so. He's still very young and I don't think that it'll take too much to get him adjusting his style a little especially the top managers. He certainly has everything else going for him.Do you think the right manager could give him the kick up the ass to get involved all the time that he needs? Has the talent to be a really good, dangerous all round forward but seems content to be a one dimensional forward.
On the upside, they're looking at Clyne, had a bit rejected at 10, need to make it closer to 12 to get the green light. Poor Southampton.
Rodgers review is next week, Ancelotti and Klopp both heavily linked to take over.
