Had the ball on the string did Stevie G.

Jason Culina looked surprisingly sharp for he Aussies, was just about the best player on the pitch before he went off. Reckon he would still go well in the A-league, shame his knee ended up giving way before his time.

Jordan Ibe apparently out with a injured hamstring as well now. I seriously cannot remember a season like this with injuries.

13 injuries. 13. No wonder we are recalling people at the speed of light. I just wish we could recall Lazar Markovic.

Benteke starting upfront for Exeter. Big lump needs some confidence.

Kent, Ojo and Ilori all recalled so far. 13 is a ridiculous number of injuries, at least we will get to see what a few of the kids are like at this rate.

Listening to Klopp, players like Ibe and co aren't serious. The bulk majority of the first team squad will miss the Exeter game to get a rest.

But 13 injuries is appalling. No ones fault really.

Hopefully we will see some new faces in before the Arsenal game.

The injury issues are partly due to having the youngest squad in the comp and playing at high intensity ball to feet, not dissimilar to arsenals issues a few seasons ago,

Asking players aged 18-22 years of age to be regular starters AND play high intensity football is asking too much of their bodies, klopp or otherwise... Thanks again to fenways recruitment policy

Is it a matter of not wanting to recall markovic or we can't due to terms of the loan agreement ??

You can't recall a senior loan in Europe unless the club that has the player wants to terminate the loan agreement. That is what has happened with Tiago.
Youth agreements can be recalled, but a percentage of I believe 58% of the original loan fee must be paid back, however, they are usually nominal fee's.

Klopp apparently was asked at his conference today of Lazar was coming back and he said he can't as the parent club are happy with him.

Fair enough and makes sense. Cheers for the clarification.

He must be going well if they are happy and want to keep him for the loan and after.

Be interesting to see what happens with him in the European summer

klopp has already diplomatically questioned fsg's policy of loaning out players given the injuries, if you're going to play youngsters and high intensity as i said before, the only solutions are to have a strong mix of senior players as 1st choice (also solves the inconsistency issues) or have a deep squad. we HAD a deep squad at the start of the season before fsg as usual chose commercial decisions over football

f**k bogdan off... Typical ginger stepchild.

Texiera and Kent have acquitted themselves well. We're still well in this with some reggies to sub in
