I hope Kelly is in the side against SPurs. Bale vs Johnson would be a carve up, Kelly is a better player.

I think i tend to agree with this, Bale will tear Johnson apart, Kelly is a much better defender but i still believe that Johnson is the better overall player. Will be interesting to see how Kenny tries to contain Bale and Modric.

Because Modric plays centrally he is easier to man mark so i expect Spearing to play, but the pace and skill of Bale basically eliminates man marking on him.

Johnsons pretty shit really, although I wouldnt mind seeing him playing as a right winger rather than a defender.

He's so bad definsively and constanly leaves us open to counter attacks

That might actually be worth a try
Has he ever played there?

I can't see you beating United at Old Trafford. They were all over you for every minute Scholes was on the field. I can't see him play the the donut thief against you either.

Yea what's it been, 6 years since we last lost at Anfield in the league? Although, if there's ever going to be a time to beat us it'll be this season. The first game was pretty even before Frimpong got sent off. I don't think we will lose but i'm not too confident of a win. A low scoring draw is on the cards i think.

I'm aware that if Manure are losing/ drawing there will be 6 minutes of injury time, and Mr Potato Head is back, but over the last 3-4 seasons Liverpool have generally aimed up against that lot. They will be keen to avenge the FA Cup loss, but I reckon LFC have the determination to at least salvage a draw.

Tottenham are the biggest concern for me, even if (historically) their form at Anfield has been poor.

big game tommorow and spurs have quite an extensive injury list, with Defoe, VDV, Lennon amongst other appear unlikely to play.

How is Bale still on the pitch? Yellow for that awful dive, yellow at least for raising his hands to Agger, should have seen a red.

How much help does your team need to score goals? How did you draw at home to a severely under strength Spurs?

Suarez kicks Parker in the guts and not a mention skeepe ?

Shouldn't have even been a yellow. Eyes on the ball the whole time. It's telling that the referee had no intention of booking Suarez until he saw what a massive fuss out of nothing that absolute wimp Parker made of it when he went down pathetically in a screaming heap.

so you want Bale yellow carded for a push yet you see nothing wring with this ?

I guess this is all in a days work for a bloke like Suarez

The commentators saw nothing wrong with it. They couldn't believe it was a booking, and I wholeheartedly agree.

By the way what's with such a talented bloke like Bale resorting to cheap, pathetic dives? Two dives, both f**king pathetic.

you must have listened to different commentators, the ones on my TV said it was definitely a booking when it was shown on the replay and as you well know, you cant raise you leg and kick some one in the guts like that, it may not have been intentional but it was reckless

I've watched Bale since he was 17 and in 4 years thats the first time I've seen him dive, maybe he's just human

Were you watching the game through FoxSports? The commentators for the channel FoxSports liase with said it was understandable that Suarez was booked.
I also recall multiple times them saying how tough Parker is.....

 So Bale is the only talented footballer that dives now? Luis Suarez, Cristiano Ronaldo and thousands more say hi. He dives occassionally, his common trick being what he used when Skrtel got yellow carded. I recall Skrtel got two yellow cards for doing that twice to Bale in the previous match.
I don't approve of it but you can't single him out when he does it very rarely and most players do it far worse and more commonly than he does.

Two dives in one game, seems a little more often than rarely.

As for Parker, the commentators called him out as someone who tends to make more of challenged than he should when they noted that he had stayed down earlier on the game and recovered miraculously quickly.

Hard as nails my arse.

If tackling everything in sight, tracking back all the time, running all around the pitch like a madman, bravely going in for the ball and blocking, taking hard challenges in his stride and so forth is not hard as nails in terms of football then I'd be very interested in what you define as 'hard as nails'.
Please go watch Scotty play and then come back and tell me just why exactly he is Spurs current favourite for player of the season and also one of the big contenders for the English national side captaincy?

Most of the time he gets hurt he plays on, he might not be Nathan Hindmarsh but he has quite often played through injuries and pain. If there's anything like a hard-as-nails player in football, he's your man. For you to deny that is just laughable based off one game where he got kicked in the gut and was legitimately hurt.
Oh no, but princess Suarez is a saint....

That was a deserved yellow for Suarez, push in the back and then a high boot. Can't see why anyone would complain about it.

Parker is a very good player who would stroll into Liverpool's side given they have rubbish like Charlie Adam on their books spraying balls into row Z.
