he wanted to go to the Goons after he was offered to Spurs as part of the Modric deal but AVB didn't want him, and he wanted CL footy but Jose said no chance, allegedly

I think Sahin wants you guys because he thinks he will get more game time. I'm guessing he's tired of sitting on the bench. I get the feeling he still feels his future is at Real and i think him having a good year with you guys as a starter will be better for him then rotating with Arteta/Wilshere/Cazorla at Arsenal.

Then again, i'm hearing there may be a clause for a permanent transfer.

Either way you guys have picked up a good player. Your midfield is looking solid. Could do with an AM but with Lucas, Allen and Sahin you should dominate most games you play.

I think the club kept the Assaidi deal surprisingly quiet imo. In any case, hope he makes the step from the eredivisie to the PL. Looks like Rogers wants some pace out wide.

On that note, I am not sure Tello will happen but agree that Sahin should be a solid addition.

^^ plus Wilshere's return keeps on getting delayed. He's slated for a mid November return but I wouldn't be surprised if it gets delayed even further.

I also read Mourinho and Wenger don't exactly have the best relationship from his time in the EPL
Him and Brendan Rogers were both at Chelsea together
He'd prefer not to loan Sahin to a Champions League rival
I'd be suprised if he goes to Arsenal instead of us..

Im really starting to get excited about this season. Rodgers obviously has a very clear way he wants the team to play, and the players will benefit from that immensely. Also if we manage to get Sahin, the midfield would be up there with the best in the premier league.

Assaidi looks like an interesting player that could make the difference of the bench and offer something different to the other wide players.

Yeah been impressed with the goings on at the club due to Rodgers. Adding Sahin and making sure Citeh keep their grubby hands off Danny Agger is all I want know. Dempsey from the cottagers would be pretty handy as well

Hopefully Rodgers can bring plenty of consistency to the lads.

This shit is inexcusable, and is not justified by an occasional win against a top 4 team. It's no good to get beaten by a side destined to play in the Championship just because you can beat a couple of the sides destined to play Champions League!

I thought we looked ok till the part where Agger decided he had to foul.
At the time you dont think of the consequences but when he got sent it was one way traffic.
Too early to slit the wrists.
Now if Suarez can convert a few of the chances he's had we will be competitive in any game.(thats no guarantee)
