Same old Liverpool same old problems I think Rodgers needs more work to polish our turd of a club up. I'd rather slit the bloke that makes the comments in the game that guy's voice and comments was grating.

I thought we looked ok till the part where Agger decided he had to foul.
At the time you dont think of the consequences but when he got sent it was one way traffic.
Too early to slit the wrists.
Now if Suarez can convert a few of the chances he's had we will be competitive in any game.(thats no guarantee)

You have hit the nail on the head there.. If Suarez puts away some of his early chances it's a different game.. He did some great things then farked it all up..

He looked as sharp as he did against fc Gomel but wasted everything he created.

But really, to lose 3-0 at WBA??

Lol.

It's only round 1, and previous seasons have shown how a team can have a crap start but still finish top 4- but to make the CL this Liverpool side has a LOT of work to do.

The biggest hoodo since Rafa's tenure has been playing lower table sides and relegation battlers away from home. I feel more confident watching the boys play at Old Trafford than I do at Craven Cottage these days...

This is so true, playing lower teams away i always get edgy. Them and Tottenham i always get a bit worried with.

It is still early days, and they managed to keep the ball which was good, just need a bit more penetration in the final third which should get easier against teams that don't play with 2 very defensive lines.

Suarez, for all his brilliance is not a finisher that is why Borini was brought in only he seemed to go a bit missing during the game, but i didn't expect to see him hit the ground running, i thought it would take him a couple of games to really come up to the speed and physicality of the premier league.

I thought we need to play with a little less width against WBA. Final passes were being wasted usually cause we we're tryin to hit someone to far away. Passing isnt crisp enough for us to be hitting the final ball.

Was looking round on whoscored before and saw this and thought it was kinda funny.

Re: Hearts game.

Not pretty, as as Rafa used to say, we will take the result.

Stirling - Good to see him have a go. He is a couple of kilos and years away from being a really good player. I think we will be seeing more of him than we expected.

Shelvey - Shocking. Dont think I have seen him play that bad.

Borini - Can play up front but is not what I would call a striker. But just like Kuyt, seems willing to run his socks off.

Allen - Was only the pitch but two seconds and we already looked twice the side we were the previous 70 minutes.

I caught most of the second half when I woke up
Agree on all those points from what I saw
Was the first time I've seen Sterling...kid looks promising and nice speed

Is Nuri Sahin coming as a loan only move or is there a future fee?

No future fee according to sources from The Times that I've read.

Was the main reason why Arsenal lost interest. Rumoured 4-5m loaning fee with no permanent fee agreed. That kind of money is better spent on a permanent player imo.

Liverpool vs Hearts... now that Rangers are gone, that about as much f**kwitery as you can squeeze into one game. :p

Yea arsenal dropped out cause they want 4mill for loan fee, your also paying 80% where arsenal were offering smaller and only a 2mill fee and wanted a buyout clause of 13.6mill

In the end sahin isnt a player we need, hes a exceptional player but with a stacked mid, arsenal primarly needs a DM

But for liverpool hes the difference between 6 - 8 and well 4 to 6, if he settles quick i see liverpool finishing 5th, unless they make a Defence move in the next week.

Hardly a choke. Getting such a result may be just what the team need in the long-term. Had they beaten City, I am concerned they may have lulled back into the bad old habits, got too confident from it and blown it all against an average team, home or away.

Out-playing the champions after the shit dished up last weekend is a good sign that shows the team can match it with the top teams in the League right now. The challenge is keeping that control and dominance against the smaller teams.

Beating Chelsea or Manure away from home means nothing if you get beaten by West Ham or Stoke at home. 3 points is 3 points. That lesson should have sunk in to all the remaining players who took part in the 2008-09 season...

Looking at it, yeah, probably two points dropped. But a much better feeling than last weekend.

Didn’t think we would see Stirling THAT soon.

Allen keeps growing on me. I reckon we may see him/Gerrard/Sahin (we may have to anyway…..what’s the latest on Lucas?)

Stirling shows a lot of promise, if he's the sort of player worth keeping on the books then Liverpool should do all they can to hold on to him. Crazy considering he's only 17!

Least Rodgers is willing to give the kid some game time. Thought we looked so much better this week. Just gotta get the bullshit moments out of our game.

Really like Allen. Kid runs for days, very active and seems to have a nice pass on him. Can't wait to see Sahin put into action.

Pretty happy after that performance compared to the WBA game.. lots of positives for sure.. consistency again is the key now..

still think we are lacking a goal scorer.
