That first goal by Torres was absolutely awesome.

It rekindled memories of the great Gabriel Batistuta at his best.

Ad then to top it off he hammers home a glorious header to show what a complete striker he is. Also Batistuta like.

I feel dirty saying this, but go Arsenal (the only team I hate more than Liverpool). I wish there were any other way for you guys to fall. ;)

Brilliant game. I know it kills our title chances but i can't be too upset. Still though, 3 stupid defensive errors lead to 3 Arshavin goals. ](*,). Personally i think we were by far the better team but i can't begrudge Arsenal for taking full advantage of our mistakes.

not over yet but not far off, only thing we have in our favour is that Manure still have Arsenal as well as a Man City side who im sure would love to knock United off.

Still if we dont win this season we have a side built up that, with some smart signing, will challange next year. Especially with a fit torres and gerrard

What a game of football. Recording a game between two teams I despise is not something I would normally do, but I'm glad I did. Some poor defensive lapses from both teams, not least the Arsenal defenders being asleep for the final equaliser. But overall a superb game to watch. I wouldn't have complained too much if Liverpool had won either, because I strongly believe United should be good enough to win the title off their own bat, or else they don't deserve it.

If we don't win the title this season then atleast we have challenged for the title for a change for a long part of the season, instead of just till Christmas. If Man U won't mess things up then we can't win it even if we win our last 5. I still hold out hope that they will lose to Arsenal and draw two others and we win all ours. But that isn't so likely now with Vidic and Ferdinand back.

The club knows they have what it takes to challenge for the title. IF they fall short this season, I'm confident they've turned the corner from just going for 3rd or 4th to a team that can challenge the Mancs. So I'm not devastated, as some clowns who support other clubs might say. More I'm frustrated as with a fit Gerrard and Torres and more killer instinct and more astute management from Rafa against the Stoke's and Hull's of the PL we would be cruising to the title instead of hoping for the Mancs to fall apart.

I love watching Liverpool choke and their fans devastated.

Beautiful, just beautiful.

Even if Liverpool go 25 years without winning the League (as the rags did fropm 1968-1993), we won't be relegated in that time, and we've managed a fair amount of silverware since 1990 in the meantime. Fortunes are a changing, and Liverpool are about to go through another great phase and resume their rightful place as the #1 in England and the most successful side of all time

Dont think we played that well this morning and knocked Newcastle over 3-0.
Thought we got the rub of the green from the officials and really should of put 10 past them.
Alonso hit the crossbar twice and Gerrard once as well.
Had 11 shots to 2 on target and 15-0 off.
26-2 all up sort of indicates how one sided the match was.
Interesting stat-Barton was the 7th player red carded for an indiscretion against Alonso this season. Not much doubt about this sending off though.Even Alan Shearer blew up about the tackle.
West Ham West Brom and Spurs to go.Been a good effort from the side this year and could be the only side in history to only lose 2 games all year and not win the title.Given Gerrard and Torres have only started 11 times together in the premier league this year thats an outstanding effort really.

Good performance overnight. Should've scored 6 or 7, but for that damn bar.

Newcastle heading for the drop. What a rabble that club is.
