Terrible draw for UEL: Udinese, Young Boys, Anzhi. That's Anzhi the rich Russian club coached by Hiddink and led by Eto'o.

Play like we did last night and we will not make it out.

Horse head on loan to West Ham
Adam to Stoke

Things seem to be on the up for you guys

Just need a class finisher to be in the fight for the top 4 imo

f**k me Rodgers went completely against what he said just recently about how it would be nuts to loan out Carroll without a replacement coming in. It was at bare minimum anyway with only him, Borini, and Suarez as the only recognised front men.

Can't understand why Fenway wouldn't stump up a couple mill extra to nab Dempsey... I'll take a guess and say you'll end up with Owen though on a free.

Lack of goals was one of biggest issues so he brings in Borini and gets rid of Carroll. Don't really understand that..
Fulham only wanted 9mil for Dempsey who is a proven EPL goal scorer..we should have got him.

And Spurs got him for 6mil. I saw that Fulham were playing hardball with Liverpool.

I would've thought a club like Liverpool could close out a deal for Clint f**king Dempsey.

Borini's looking shaky atm & out of his depth too IMO.

All it takes is for Suarez to go down/get suspended for it to potentially be a disaster, after all that good work in the past few months.

Yeah if Suarez goes down we're f**ked
Just makes no sense loaning out Carroll without a replacement
NFI why we didn't just give Fulham what they were asking for...FFS look at what we've paid for other players in recent times

Im pretty sure Spurs ended up paying less than what we offered, which is a joke.

And Owen can f**k right off.

Arsenal= Stoke City with a budget. They'll be good enough to beat out of form sides and teams down the mid-lower end of the table, but no silverware for them this season...

Bitter much champ? Liverpool = Everton with shit scouts.

You guys are in for a long season. God knows how you've come out of the window with only two recognized strikers, one of them being Suarez who is nigh on the worst finisher in the league, and the other is borini, who is just a dirk Kuyt clone.

The best thing about last night was that Rodgers has you playing a possession game so he got rid of Andy Carroll cause he doesn't fit it. And you spend the whole game bombing in crosses (27 of them).

Good luck for the season. But if the last three weeks are anything to go by I can't imagine there'll be much to get excited about. You'll raise your game against the odd big team but I'm picking you to finish 7th, maybe 6th if you sign owen on a free or bring big Andy back in January.

Nothing to be bitter about- simply noticed how Arsenal are playing a similar defence oriented style to what Stoke are.

Liverpool were the better team last weekend against the reigning Champions, but (like this morning) poor defence at the back cost them points at the end. Next weekend is Sunderland away and (provided they keep 11 men on the field) it will be interesting to see how they respond to playing a lower table team. This is the sort of fixture where Liverpool would drop points even if they were in the top 4, it's about attitude and tidying up the last line of defence.

I'm not going to claim it cost them the game, but there were (what appeared to be) a couple of textbook penalties that were not awarded by Webb. It certainly didn't help...

Haha what are you talking about? Played like stoke. If anyone played like a midtable team it was the home side that resorted to chucking up cross after cross and hoping for the best. Just because we didn't play that suicidal high line we have used for the last 5 years doesn't mean we played defensively. Possession was pretty even, 53-47 in favor of you guys, and most of the time we worked it out from the back instead of hoofing it out.

There was that one penalty on Suarez when mertesacker pulled him back. But you're gonna have to deal with that now that Suarez has been pegged as a diver. Referees aren't going to be so quick to award him much because of his reputation. It sucks but it's the way it goes.

In saying that we fluffed a couple of clear cut chances, giroud's two chances spring to mind. I'd say the better team one on the day. I'd be surprised if u didn't think so too.

It's going to take a while for u guys to adapt to Rodgers playing style. Your core (skrtyl, Gerrard and Suarez) aren't really suited for it so i can see it taking a while to get used to. Doesn't help you have a pretty rough start to the season in terms of fixtures.

Luis and Stevie G were dreadful. Another pepe f**k up. We were all over arsenal in the first 20. Then arsenal found some possession and we were done from then on.
Again lack of killer instinct and too much indecisiveness in the final 3. Thought sterling played well again and joe Allen had another great game. Only 2 positives from the game really.

I thought Shelvey coming off the bench played pretty well too.

Surely it won't be long till he's starting over Gerrard, who just doesn't look like he suits the pass and move that Rodgers is trying to implement. Or maybe move Gerrard up into Borini's position and have him cut in while Glenn Johnson overlaps.

That Borini guy is a disaster and if there's anyway you can get him off the wing i think you should do it. Who's that guy you got from the Dutch league (i think), Assaidi or something. Surely he'll be getting a shot soon.

I think you guys are in for a rough couple of weeks (after this fckn international break). Sunderland away is never easy and obviously United will be tough as well. If you can get 3 or 4 points from that i think it'll be a good spring board to get your season under way.
