Everybodys favourite ingen is here. Living embodiment of the faceless crowd I mentioned earlier. Of course, the fitting nature of his injection here is as lost on him as it would be on my dogs.

According to nrl.com only hayne, Lewis and Gallen made more metres for nsw than Ferguson. Its a very simple question amadaca could Merritt have done the hard yards like Ferguson.

Daley wanted a winger to catch bombs and to ruck the ball out to take the pressure off the forwards. His game plan was to take Queensland down the centre.

No, he couldn't --- that isn't his strength.

I have a question for you, Pete (even though you didn't answer my last one) --- if Ferguson lives to be 1000, will he ever be the try scorer Merritt is? You tell me.

But oh no, never mind about scoring tries...you want to talk about, "real work,"

I hate Fergo for what he said about his club and teammates when he left Cronulla.
But he is a damn good footballer.
He was great last night, made an error first up that I'll put down to nerves. From that point he did everything asked of him.
No way in hell he should be replaced.

I thought Ferguson whilst strong from the ruck and safe in the air was a little bit in no mans land on a few occasions when QLD were spreading the ball out his way on the attack.

I think it's safe to say he doesn't read the game as well defensively as some people are led to believe.

I fully expect QLD to look to try and exploit his and Jennings willingness to rush out of the line in Game 2 under much bigger pressure up there.

Other than a few indecisive moments in defensive reads he played very solid.

And believe me, this is coming from a fan who does not like the man one iota.

So is Darius Boyd a better winger than Meritt?

Or is he just lucky to be outside Greg Inglis at origin level if you want to talk purely on tries scored in said arena.

Merritt isnt an origin wingers asshole.

Hayne, Ferguson and Morris will be the back 3 for NSW for a long time.

The guy clearly has no idea about league. The idea that Merritt would have easily scored 2-4 tries is so dumb. Nsw barely had a single backline sweep.

What Daley wanted was for his backs to do the hard yards. Merritt simply doesn't fit into that kind of scheme.

Pearce, what can I say? We all know he's a protected species. Last night was another vindication of what a clueless f**kwit Laurie Daley is. Did no one see the flow of the game? If our halfback had ANY f**kING IDEA WHAT HE WAS DOING, that match is won at the hour mark. Period. Time for the hunting ban to be lifted --- replace him with Reynolds --- you know, the guy who has been kicking Pearce's ass up & down the field the last eighteen months?
I'm not usually one to defend him, but Pearce was fine last night. He put in a solid 6.5-7/10 performance. He threw a crap pass and put in a few ordinary kicks, but held it together better than Cronk did (surprisingly). He works well with Lewis in defence and has his combination with Maloney, which, if anything, is good for us if it makes Maloney feel more comfortable and ready to take the line on (which he did really well).

Pearce had the vision. You support cronulla, what the fk would you know about a halfback?

Pearce had the vision???? WTF?! He passed it hoping someone else would create something.
Did he run at the line at all last night?
He was invisible last night.

Take your roosters glasses off.

Pearce, Historically, has played well as long as he has had a decent 5/8 outside of him.

2010- Carney
2013- Maloney

2011 and 2012 both game 2's Soward and Carney played well. No halfback can do it on there own (Look at Thurston up at NQ)

Is it 2009? LOL.

Back in the Hot Tub Time Machine, D&E

Fast forward to 2013, how many games of parra have you watched? Seen how solid he's been? His defense, his positional play? Or his sold attacking game? Just because the media isn't going on about the Hayne train or Hayne plane doesn't mean he isn't playing well. Not to mention everytime he steps up to rep level he grows an extra leg, where was Merritt in city vs country?

Pearce did put Lewis straight through a hole with some very nice ball playing, which Lewis knocked on and then chased, and for some reason got celebrated for chasing instead of chastised for dropping it. He dropped it a few times, still a very good performance but his costly drops are being too easily overlooked.

Hayne, well he played wing for our sins, and now he's been reborn at fullback to save our souls.
