Dogs look like they are a top 8 team to me-Very commited and ennis is prob the best hooker in the game at moment-IMO
I doubt top 4 but id say 5-7th

What impresses me most about the dogs is our defence. I'm just so used from last year to offload after offload and missed tackles. This year teams are really struggling to offload against us, and there haven't been many glaring defensive deficiencies. A lot of tries scored against us seem to come from kicks or "schoolboy errors" from inexperienced players like Idris and Barba. Hope they can keep it up, I'm even entertaining the idea that we could go a long way in the finals series - which would require a pretty big improvement but seems possible.

As hard as you may find to believe this, the dogs are premiership fav's and or should be..eleven new players havent even gelled yet and have lost just one game, have a good nb1, 6, 7, and 9, thats all u need to win a comp.

And im happy wayne helped give character references to stagg, hannant and ennis, his not stupid, its a shame u had to pay overs for them, good luck in the market next yr after paying overs to attract nearly every player signed in 09.

Well, if we don't firm in the betting after an opening 5-1 record... we never will

The dogs wont firm in to much will still be close to 16-20/1 to win, even though you are in better form then melbourne and manly,

the cowboys and warriors who i think
should be longer odds then the bulldogs

Dogs havent been tested ,
round 1 dogs beat an understrength manly

round 2 struggled to beat penrith

round 3 lost to an weaken titans team, the only inform team the dogs played against

round 4 beat the sharks lol

round 5 beat the eels lol lol

reason why the dogs arent premiership favourites or regarded in the top 5 the dogs only had one game against an difficult opposition ,yet the dogs were favourites to win it but lost it

The dogs test wont start to round 10 before they can be considered a threat

Ummm why would we want to be in the market next year? We've got all our recruiting done. Apart from a few players like Ryan, Kimmorley, El Masri and Patten, we have a fairly young team - Idris, Morris, Ennis, Hannant, Goodwin etc... all young players. We'll need a few young guns in the coming years but not right now. We're confortable and have the required depth. Seen the Sydney Bulls squad lately

Funny you say that. We're 13-1 with Centrebet.

 You're a goose. Conveniently leave out then-first South Sydney who were in fine form coming into their game against us? Nice try, d!ckhead.

More accurately:
Round 1, smashed a shaken and under-strength Manly. Won't get the same luxury at Brookie later this year.
Round 2, beat a much improved Penrith side.
Round 3, lost to the Titans after a dramatic week off-field (2 points debacle)
Round 4, beat the Sharks comfortably, ref denied us another 12-18 points tbh.
Round 5, defended superbly against the Rabbitohs, recovered from a 6-0 early deficit to win by 2.
Round 6, smashed a rubbish side as we should have, really put them to the sword.

I'm not going to say we're premiership material but your assessment is f**king ordinary.

We need to go out into the market next year because we stand to lose Kimmorley at the end of next year, and probably 1 or 2 other older players. We need to invest in another outside back with Hazem going, we need more depth.

Still long odds for a team what only lost one game and teams like the cowboys ,warriors, are level or ahead of you in betting

Im only saying why the dogs arent shorter because the dogs failed against goldcoast who was the only team inform and a genuine top 4 contender and the dogs lost easy

Mate seriously what do you want from us? We've had a much better season so far this year than all of last year. So far all you've done in this thread is try and have a go at us and the Bulldogs have proved you wrong everytime!

Lost easy? There was 8 points in it and a simple forward pass call with 10 left was really the difference. No excuses for losing but they didn't smash us, we took the game to them in much the same fashion as Canberra did this weekend just gone.

If you honestly can't give credit where credit's due then you need to wake up to yourself.

oh my gosh after Gaba's history here I can't believe you all bit.

i actually agree with Gaba to some extent here. But let's put things into context. At the start of the year the bookies had us about 14th favourites, and I was hoping if we might scrape into the top 8 and it would be a pretty good year. If when the year's over we haven't all exceeded our expectations from the start of the year something pretty bad would have happened.

So really it's no surprise that we're still only 6th or 7th favourites or whatever we are - but who cares? Fact is, we're a decent chance of even winning the comp this year. Still a fairly long shot but we're in it.

you serious? 3 games and it's time to eat my words

bwahahahahaahahahahahahahahahah

Can't say I've seen any of the dragons games but I'll eat my words when the Dragons make the top 8 and weyman is still in the team.

You ate alot of words in 2008 JimmytheNeville i cant believe u havent shut your mouth and let ur over's side just do the talking.

What's 2008 got to do with anything? We're currently the form team of the comp, only reason we aren't first is an interchange error, the points for which we're still appealing.

Our overs side? Team has been worth every cent. At least if you want to cast a line and try and reel some of us in, try something remotely factual...?

BTW, how did Weyman go on Saturday? Oh...
