Looks good to me..... Wouldn't swap Mamo and Gagai?

I'd give Mamo first crack at it. Mamo would give us a billy slater style player at the back

Dropping Mullen isn't a solution at this point, we lose more than we gain in any scenario. Dropping Roberts and Gidley is a no brainer, though.

Do we really? I honestly don't think we could lose anything by dropping Mullen. He's been horrendous all year, save for a few moments of brilliance

You're kidding if you think Mullen was the main problem out there tonight, Fred. What do you want him to do when we drop it before he gets the ball most sets? He can't take every hitup. When we were rolling forward and holding the ball in the first half, Mullen was fine. Tyrone has been 100% MIA regardless of any other factors this year and certainly deserves the drop. Gidley has been MIA for years. None of you complain when Mullen is carrying the team hard and winning games for us. He's not the only offender out there at the moment, but at least he's actually capable of turning it around and playing good football. You can't say the same for many of the other pretenders out there - and they should be fixed well in advance of any other changes. You don't gut your entire spine in 1 go.

Another factor is, like it or not, Mullen signed a long term deal recently. We have good reason to persist there beyond all else. Mullen was a prime candidate to captain 2 months ago, and very few could argue against it at the time.

Yes, he's inconsistent - yes he can be dumb... but you can say that and a LOT more of others in the team that offer absolutely zero. At least on the days that Mullen plays well, we can win the match. How many of those days has Roberts or Gidley had in the past 3 years?

Tyrone and Gidley need to go well before Mullen. At least Mullen offers something half the time. Tyrone and Gidley offer nothing all of the time.

Can't say Roberts has been M.I.A, if he was simple missing we'd be much better off, he's actually been a cancer

Yeah, he is absolute poison at the moment. Dreadful. This year had to be the year he found the extra consistency and added some strings to his bow. He hasn't and it's time to move on as quickly as we can.

We needed more of that Randell bloke in 14. There was such a massive difference when he can on and after he left....

I keep hearing great things about Clydsdale, but i havent seen any of that yet. Not saying we should drop him, but dont be too set on Clydsdale > Randell just yet.

I think dropping Gidley and swapping Randall and Roberts would make a world of difference. I'd like to just drop Roberts too but we need a backup hooker and I don't want to ruin Levi's career by rushing him into this mess.

Neither will happen though. I just hope Stone sticks to his guns with no Sione on the bench and it doesn't return to it next week. Sione should be in the side but not on the bench. I'd be very tempted to move Gagai to fullback and play Sione at centre. I'm just so over Gidley. It's been too long.

We literally wouldn't lose a thing dropping Gidley and Roberts. Even if their replacements are quiet, I'd take quiet over what they're serving up at the moment.

Give Randell a go at 7 and Roberts on the bench to come on for Clydesdale. Roberts fills in MUCH better at Dummy Half than Gidley. I'd also like to drop Roberts.
Drop Gidley.
If Gidley stays then keep him well away from Dummy Half. He stepped in front to take it a few times today and was clueless.
Mullen to captain.
I got the sense a while ago in an interview that there was friction between Gidley and Mullen.

Roberts and Fa'alogo need a spell. Gidley can go to half with specific instructions to just shift the ball along and use our backs/Sims, and keep his kicking to an absolute minimum. This also gives Sione a proper crack at fullback. I like the idea of Korbin off the bench for now, so Stockwell gets a start. We need to keep Randell in the side.

Our gameplan should be to shift the ball as much as possible. If we're going to make basic errors anyway we might as well cop that and involve our backs earlier in the tackle count. Shift the ball early and hopefully the Cowboys spread the field and we can then run a bit more through the ruck with Randall, Gidley and the forwards if need be.

Gidley is the problem. Tyrone and Mullen would play just fine without him there. They have done it before. Gidley is the poison. Gidley is the cancer.

Fred, as hopeful as your suggested team is, we'd get beaten by 50 with that lot. Mamo does not have the execution to play first grade. He does things at a hundred mile an hour - which is why he falls over, slips over and drops it continually. He is like bambi on the ice wearing boxing gloves. When you need someone to finish a play off with his speed - great, but he has no business marshalling us at the back.

Feeney and Randell? Please. Why don't we just play without halves and have more second rowers or centres on the field.

That bench wouldn't offer a great deal, but I take your point: the one we have now isn't offering us anything either.

Rick's idea of wholesale changes will be to drop Fa'alogo. That's it. He doesn't have the guts or the resources to do anything else.

I'd play Sione at fullback. No one on here wraps him at fullback, but I like him there. he can catch, he can tackle and he's fast and strong. And he is ice cool under pressure. If you made a break, would you rather run at Sione or Mamo? Who cares if he doesn't have the skills of a 5/8. Just put him through holes.
