I went to the game tonight. 1 team turned!

In all honesty though, it felt like a few time luck just didn't go in our favour either. Moses drops it, Papa drops it and god knows how Sivo lost us the ball. There was a run where I was sure we would score but f**k knows what happened.

All these moments combined, I would say we were in it til the first Manly send off.

Should we sign Skeletor?

He’s going back to Brisbane, I think he is over the hill anyway. Not sure who we get because the options are thinner than my hairline.

But coaching has to be more than winning collisions, effort area’s and working hard.

I'm as disappointed as everyone else - but honestly, 9 and 2 after 11 weeks is pretty damn good.

I'm mostly pissed at how we played - miracle plays, highlight reel shit...we went away from what we've been successfully doing.

Plus, we have a blockbuster against Souths next week - perhaps it's like the Raiders game, where we had one eye on that clash...

Move on.

Manly were good, we barely showed up.

I think if we had Dylan Brown out there today, we would have kept the score closer, and maybe even given it a fair shake - for all the criticism he cops, he runs the ball well, and I'd (at this stage) a better kicker than Jake.

I've no doubt that Arthur will have a good First Grade career - but he's way off Brown's pace atm.

We under underestimate Drown cover defence on the edge. That’s why Blake deserves a game or 2 with Drown

I mean, at the end of the day, if you’d have asked me pre-season if I’d be happy with 9-2 after 11 rounds, the answer would’ve obviously been yes. So I don’t think there’s any need for wrist-slitting yet.

And if Paulo, RCG and Reed have played themselves out of rep jerseys as a result of today (which I’m sure they haven’t), I also wouldn’t be crying.

After Blake's performance today (and last week where he was also bad) he doesn't deserve shit. He will hopefully get suspended and then play reserve grade.

This game also proved what Dylan Brown does for the side, hd was missed badly today. And lol @ Lussick on the bench, what a waste of a spot. Rheed made a few mistakes but he one of the few out there that actually troubled them.

He's been poor since coming back from injury.

He was very poor defensively last year too. Had the 4th most missed tackles in the comp and the most for any player besides a half. This doesn't take into account the amount of times he ran out of the line and tackled no one. He's easily the worst defensive centre in the comp and he adds f**k all in attack too.

Just watched the game and my thoughts..
I hope Waqa gets suspended for the maximum.. nothing personal but he has to be the worst signing we’ve made in a long time. I swear he missed 3 tackles in one play.
Moses needs to stop reading his own press, he played dumb footy when they were down to 12.
Bombing on the 5th wasn’t the play and when he finally didn’t, he threw a ****ing cut out pass. When you outnumber the opposition you have to go thru the hands to get the advantage.
I thought we were the better team for the first half hour & couldn’t convert it into points.

Does anyone else feel each ruck is a lottery under the new refereeing?

Congrats to Manly, they had a lot play for today and should be proud of the way they honoured a club legend. RIP Bob Fulton.

Also goes to show you how diabolical waqa’s defense is. On percentages, JA, the two game veteran, stats in defense are far more appealing than waqa’s.

I don’t agree that we lack speed in the backline. Blake, Ferguson, Sivo and Moses are all capable of scoring length of the field tries. I was watching some highlights of Waqa Blake at Penrith and he looks like a completely different player. He (as well as Ferguson) rarely seems to get the ball in space at Parra. I blame the attacking structures that are failing to create space on the right hand side so that Blake and Ferguson are being forced to try and brute force their way over.

Bob Fulton was heavily involved with the club in the Barrett era. So players that (played today) have been there for a few years would all know him - Turbo, Jurbo, DCE, Parker, Tapau to name a few

Plus waqa had 14 tackles, 6 misses and just as many ineffective, that totals mid 20’s, so he was well and truly the target. The entire edge was.
