Cannot believe that Kyle Flanagan's defensive game from yesterday is being criticised. Yes he missed Preston, but he was isolated by some pretty nifty ball playing from Galvin that was aided and abetted by an obvious forward pass that made it so much harder to defend as Preston got passed KFlann before he could position himself to make the tackle. The forward pass created that try. If the ball had been flat or back, KFlann might have had time to get his body into the tackle, instead of an arm grab. His defence (and also Atkinson)
for the other 99% of the game was awesome. KFlann made so many tackles off the back back of sheer effort and effort chases that kept us in that game until the 89th minute. Sure criticise him for whatever, but fxck me, how anybody can honestly criticise his defence, especially in this game has me fxcked. Yes his last tackle kicking is shit, but keep it real about his defence. I'd suggest if he isn't in the top two defensive halves, he'd definitely be in the top 3. Imagine if he had quick leg speed.?????

Spot on man. Personally, I think forward passes should be illegal. But hey, that's just me!

Inside passes are boring and he adds no other idea on running kicking or side stepping and setting up his players for try assists.

According to Shane he is one of our best. Unfortunately we are stuck with Kyle until Shane gets the flick which won't happen until at least round 4-5 next season

You’re the only one with knowledge on this forum mate. I guess we don’t accept mediocrity like everyone else here..
There is definitely a few lurkers here that don't want the drama of speaking up but this is a forum. Everyone's free to speak there mind as long as it's nothing personal etc there is no dramas. These players and our 'Coach' are paid more then Nurses, Police etc they deserve the criticism

Not to mention we’re paying customers. We’re aloud to say whatever we like.

Kyle running the ball on the fifth, his kicking out of our own half and or producing a show n go is not it. Atkinson showed he can un latch a play or two and not have Kyle involved… much more effective. I have no issues with KF in defense he just needs to know where he is in the pecking order this season.

So, there it is. We could have purchased so many others; however, Flanno wanted his son in the halves even if it is not in the best interest of the club.

Moving forward, we need to act in 2026, we cannot waste yet another season 'setting up for next year'. I say:

1. Slack Dean Young so that he is not the default replcement for Flanagan. This MUST be done in 2026.
2. Sack Flanagan and Kyle (pay out their contracts).
3. Promote Willie Talau as interim head coach.
4. Promote Reed to partner Atkinson in our NRL side.

I think we can see from the above why Souths and Saints got rid of him. Did anyone catch his game on the weekend? Was he good? I saw they were up 14-0 at one stage but was not really paying attention as it was in the background. Dolphins scored 2 tries in the last 15 mins to win it. Similar to Saints loss's to Souths and Parra when Lachie was the No.7 at the Dragons and they had a handy lead only to lose to them in the end.

Maybe he should concentrate on his game Management rather than throw stones at previous coaches.

I hope he is playing when Saints play the Titans. It will make the game much more interesting.
