    We drop Carney... now what?

Remember Daniel Abraham was a fullback at one stage? Hahahahahha :)

    Smith quits Parramatta Eels

I'm 99.9% sure that lyon will play 5"8 if he returns to the Eels. Tahu will keep his centre position.

    Smith quits Parramatta Eels

Hagan hasn't exactly proven himself in the last 4 years. Sure he won a premiership, but that wasn't with his team. Its good to get fresh new styles into teams, I think it enhances the players themselves. Its like getting a new boss at work every once in while, freshens up everything, makes...

    We drop Carney... now what?

Salkeld is an ok winger who doesn't stand out anywhere in particular. Not super quick, but not slow. Not a great tackler, but not bad. Not great under a high ball, but can handle himself. Not really what the knights need right now.

    We drop Carney... now what?

These guys are professional atheletes, I don't think Carney needs to be told he's getting found out in defence. You drop players that need to regain confidence, Carney's having no problems with confidence, he just needs technique... go go knights training staff!

Andrew Johns kicking game is not on... what can we do?

Carney's strike rate wouldn't be all that far behind Tahus, although a miniscule sample size.

Andrew Johns kicking game is not on... what can we do?

Exactly my point. Tahu wasn't exactly a great reader in defence, but he was still a worthy player in the grand final side. The things carney is getting wrong are much easier to fix in my opinion, it might take 2 months of constantly going through the tapes, setting up training drills, but when...

Andrew Johns kicking game is not on... what can we do?

I don't see how he's any different to Tahu in 01'

    Winning Tight Games

Not only winning close games, but winning 2 in a row. Backing up after mentally draining games like the broncos to win another mentally draining game is a huge accomplishment, and puts our minds in good stead for the finals, where 3 weeks of close games before we hold the trophy is very possible.

Andrew Johns kicking game is not on... what can we do?

Attacking wingers generally make good 1 year signings :)

Andrew Johns kicking game is not on... what can we do?

Bleh, ironic typo. Lets keep this in perspective, not many wingers in the comp defended well against the west tigers last season. Brian may not be superman, but at least he has a go. I think the natural instincts will come later.

Andrew Johns kicking game is not on... what can we do?

Its one thing to post 'hey, anyone else notice brian really needs to work on his defence?', but its a totally another thing to post 'who can we drop for brian?'.

Andrew Johns kicking game is not on... what can we do?

John's is perhaps the most consistant player in the NRL over the last 9 seasons.

Andrew Johns kicking game is not on... what can we do?

See what I did there? I rated a players performances based on one single game in adverse conditions and demanded a complete reshuffle to the squad to compensate for one problem that could probably be weeded out through hard specialist training. Don't do it. Don't demand blokes getting dropped...

He's still adapting, I bet he'll be twice the defender come August.

    Memo To M.Hagan, From M.Johns

I'd like to argue that Hunt will struggle in the next 2-3 seasons because his main weapons, his step, will get found out by the defence, and he has not developed enough of a footy brain to adapt, at least for the next couple of years. Anasta has also struggled with getting his game into top...

    Memo To M.Hagan, From M.Johns

Sorry, by comparing Mullen to Fitler, you just lost all credability with anyone who knows anything about footy.

Knights v Wests Tigers First Grade

This is a big game, if the knights win this, this probably puts them into the top 2 and a nice buffer for that top 6 that you need to be towards the end. If they lose, and some results go against them, it'l be a bit more of a up hill battle.

    hagan

The Knights have played some great football this year. The notion that he should be sacked early is totally stupid and unwarranted.
