    Your Call

Yes. If any of the other options on your team were remotely interesting the answer may be no. But given the choice between Newton and Clausen you take Newton 10 times out of 10. I'm Andrew Luck, should I be annoyed that I just pissed away a huge amount of money? I would have gone #1 overall...

    Your Call

I am Raheem Morris. I absolutely do not try and bring in some mentors for the young guys. This team went through a great growth spurt last year and will only get better as the players get some more seasoning and experience. There's some lessons you can only learn on the field. You are Bill...

Does the OneWorld TV deal expire at the end of this season?

I personally think Fox Soccer Plus is going to be the most likely suspect, but I would love to see it get on basic cable.

Does the OneWorld TV deal expire at the end of this season?

I actually got Spike and USA Network's ownership confused. Spike is owned by Viacom, USA was owned by NBC and therefore now Comcast. But if NBC is launching several sports channels, they do need something to fill that airtime. NRL could do that.

Does the OneWorld TV deal expire at the end of this season?

I hope so. If so, where do you see the NRL ending up on TV in the US? My guesses: 1) Fox Soccer Plus (already plays a lot of union, I'm sure they wouldn't mind getting something else to show during the soccer off-season). 2) ESPN3 with maybe a couple of bigger games shown on ESPN2 (much like the...

    Good news for Australian basketball

Kyrie Irving (who is predicted by several reputable sources to be the potential no. 1 pick in the upcoming NBA draft) was born in Melbourne and lived there until the age of two. The best part? He might be interested in becoming a Boomer!

    Your most tense Origin moment?

The last 10 minutes of every game when NSW are up by 10 or less. Always scares me due to QLD being fast finishers.

    Florida Regional Rugby League

I'd love for them to get a team based at UNF or something. Could be a foot in the door to getting the game into the college system. Something I feel is extremely important in growing the game in the US.

    Who will start Week 1?

No-one will start week 1, the league will still be locked out. Book it. Even if not, the lockout will mean I doubt that Newton starts, not enough time to work with the team in camp and stuff. I think Clausen will start for the Panthers for at least a few games.

LU - Greatest Drummer Of All Time

Listen to Probot, Them Crooked Vultures and QOTSA's Songs For The Deaf, he's actually a damned good drummer. It's just his work for Nirvana is entirely pedestrian.

    Best Purchase Ever

Since we have a thread for the worst signings ever, let's put one together for the best. Let's keep it to players who had played a significant amount of first grade for another club before joining Parra, please. My picks: JT (obv) Gary Larson The Canterbury 4 (Smith, Pay, Dymock, McCracken in...

    Gayle, Chanderpaul and Sarwan dropped

You know what? I'm going to defend the Windies decision here. They might be best off exposing these young fellas to some proper cricket and seeing if they sink or swim. Everyone knows one of the major factors in the Windies decline was there were no players with any sort of experience to step in...

Blue Moon - The Manchester City Thread - C'MON CITY!

By the way, slight amount of kudos to the red-faced twat for finally admitting Scholes is "that sort of player". Cracking game too, and the right result. Who knows, City might manage some silverware this year (and with that I have just jinxed it).
