    2020 rule changes

    I don't think the difference between the worst and best teams is any more than other years. The new rules mean that teams can't rely on the wrestle and giving away penalties to kill the opposition's momentum hence the more blow out scores we've seen. It's just exposing what's always been there.

    Just get rid of it. I can live with officials making errors on the field who don't have the benefit of slow mo replays and multiple camera angles. Would save a bit of money too.

    Or maybe make them show all decisions in normal speed as well as slow-mo to give the audience an idea of what the refs and touch judges have to deal with.

    I'd go further and say the only time they should go to the bunker is captain's challenge. Two challenges per team for the entire match.

    Agree. He is guaranteed to give away at least 2 dumb penalties a game. Same with Staggs. Problem with the Broncos is they are all about the athlete. Most of them have no football nous whatsoever.

    Definitely a possibility, though I don't know of too many refs that have the balls to call a penalty that will likely decide the match via penalty goal. Bit like Golden point, the whistle gets put away....

    I think the one ref overall is much better. With the '6 again' they are still getting a feel for it. I would like them to award an outright penalty on the first tackle for ruck infringements, as this is where teams are pushing the boundary the most.
