    Your right I was really just coming up with 24 teams. The only reason I’d do it this way was if we a had a 20 team comp. play each team once, 19 games, and the other 4 in your conference twice with one another game as a rivalry round for 24 games.

    It’s hard to see a pasifika or png side actually getting the nod. A 2nd Qcup team in png based in Lae would be a better option. For 20 teams it should really be between only 3 options - Brisbane 3 - Perth - NZ 2

    I I agree. What might push this deal up and certainly the next will be if Nine pushes hard for an exclusive game (9th). Especially with ratings through the roof, now would be the perfect time to say hey we’re putting in an 18th team. Every thing seems primed for it.

    This whole upgrading gradually is crap. Compare Win & Mt.smart with the Cowboys new stadium. There’s seriously no comparison.

    Putting lipstick on Penrith will be a huge mistake. Not only will the upgrades do f**k all, the team will lose all fan momentum built up by playing elsewhere while the lipstick is applied. They really are better off with nothing rather then some mangled upgrade.

    I’m seeing it as Nine want an 18th team and an exclusive game (9th game) on all their platforms. No doubt to get more subscribers to Stan. By the sounds of it they are keen on another SQLD team.
