    I think a big part of tier 1 status should be the ability to put home grown players on the park without losing 150 nil and resulting in a safety issue. Currently outside of tier 1 only PNG and France can do this.

    Lodge was talking about declaring bankruptcy a while back. If he has declared bankrupt he can only keep approx $55k a year of his income for the following 3 years with the rest going to creditors. Maybe he doesn't care about this alleged $500k a year?

    They probably could have sold Melbourne out if they went for Cheaper prices. I paid $91 which was close to the cheapest ticket at the time I bought them. Australia v Lebanon was $20 at the gate for a better seat

    Its not actually a huge novelty for people of Maitland and Cessnock to see top level rugby league. If your going to go bush you may as well go far enough to capture people who can't get to NRL games.

    No excuses on ticket prices for Lebanon v Australia. $20 adult tickets and $45 family tickets. I got gouged big time in Melbourne though. $92 for corner seats and there ended up heaps of empty better seats

    Ponga has had to pull out of a NZ Maori team to get his shoulder right. So much for Paul Green saying he just had a sore shoulder. Although in saying that i do agree with people saying that while your out their you need to at least try and look like your not hurt although hes only 19 so...

    The one year is great. If he does well and his up for another season then great if not he can move on. Old management would have probably given him 2 or 3 years and an extra $200k a year.

    Bit of a concern with Ponga last night. Was left out there with one arm hanging for about 20 minutes either side of half time before being replaced. Cowboys fans saying he's a whinger and can't play through any pain. Hopefully not to serious but if it is minor he needs to work on body...
