    Jason Smith charged cocaine trafficking

I thought he quit media to spend time with his neglected family?

    Jason Smith charged cocaine trafficking

I noticed in the articles that the police officer who headed the two year investigation into Johnny Tobin's gang was named Jason Smith

    Jason Smith charged cocaine trafficking

Actually it has finally been taken down. He reminds me of the sort of guy that would be showing off and acting tough at the Kelly Club until Les Norton and Billy Dunn intervened.

And he mustn't have been able to get the password to anyone to shut it down. It's still open for all to see

    Jason Smith charged cocaine trafficking

Was reading a bit about one of the other Co accused. I'm sure his friends and relatives are in a state of shock. How do people not get suspicious when their friend/relative who owns a coffee shop in North Bondi buys matching $45k Rolexs for him and his girlfriend and starts cruising around on...

I think he was talking about individual policies which was what was being discussed at that time. The NRL policy is a group one.

The NRL or someone would need to agree on taking on some level of risk for this to work. What if someone became disabled in the early years of the scheme or if there needed to be 2 big payouts in a short period of time? Although getting an insurer involved with 400 people would be much easier...

NRL Vader is talking $20m of cover with no exclusions. $100k wouldn't be that unrealistic.

Insurance companies are all about minimising risk. The stats on the man in the street being run over can be measured and the risk is spread across the entire population. People that do skydiving, play professional contact sport, ride dirt bikes are always going to have a higher chance of injury...

Of course you can insure anything at a price but conventional TPD policies won't cover pro sports or will have exclusions. It's not commercially viable for NRL players on 200k year to pay a huge proportion of their income on specialist insurance. Maybe NFL and EPL players can afford $100k premiums.

The first link is Income protection only and the second link that you talk about isn't even in Australia. Try and find an individual lump sum disability policy in Australia that covers injuries that happen whilst playing pro rugby league.

That sounds like a sensible investment after just surviving cancer

That QBE insurance is for the Club as a whole so QBE have the risk spread across the whole squad.

Have you actually attempted to take out an insurance policy on behalf of someone in these high risk occupations? Hardly any insurers cover them and the ones that do will either load up the premiums or put heaps of exclusions on the cover so it may only pay out if you get sick/injured by...

Tim Fuller the former Rabbitohs player who is a sports Lawyer is quoted in the DT today saying he believes the case against Jordan McLean will be much easier to win than the NRL one. Do NRL players individually have public indemnity insurance? If not I don't think Jordan McLean is going to be...

It probably depends on the circumstances of the grape being there? If another customer dropped it 2 seconds earlier then there is not much chance Coles could have done anything whereas if the grape was left there for a while then Coles should have cleaned it up. Mods can we get a separate...

Ive always wondered why they didnt make lifting over the horizontal an automatic 10 in the bin? This seemed to stop players throwing punches pretty quickly

Be worth a shot starting with a one year deal. We should have some cash for 2017 if Ponga isn't released early.

Ramifications of the Kalyn Ponga deal

Hard to keep track of where he's been? I think he spent some time in WA as well?

Ramifications of the Kalyn Ponga deal

Was Ponga even living in QLD at age 13? I thought he was back in NZ at around that time.
