Our Newcastle Knights: Community ownership model for Hunter's NRL flagship

If you get a certificate to hang in your shop window that says 'Knights owner' for buying one share I am wondering what is the extra incentive is for small and medium businesses to buy more? Other than love of the club that is.

After the DCE debacle clubs don't seem to make any formal announcements or hold press conferences until that 10 day period is up.

Peter Badel s previous article said it was Thurston type money. Thurston will probably be on $1.5m under the proposed 2018 cap. and $700k won't be that much for an above average spine player. The other thing about the article is if Gagai tested the market he would be extremely lucky to get more...

    Rumoured Targets 3

This is my view as well With the money we are paying him he would have to be in firsts from day 1 and we are not going to be contenders next year anyway. Let him develop for a year as a fringe Cowboy and hopefully he will be more ready for regular first grade in 2018 without us having forked...

Now saying 2018. Probably wouldn't be the worst result if he gets a year learning off Thurston and is a year older when we start forking over the big money.

Everyone talking about Gagan being injury prone? He missed a lot of 2015 with a season ending injury but according to Jets facebook page he played 23 games plus semis this year.

Joey Leulua's younger brother I doubt it would be worth even talking to him due to Joey's views on the club.

I agree on pure ability our squad is weaker than the start of last year but I am hoping we have recruited more blokes who will put in on a consistent basis rather than just have a blinder every 8 weeks.

    4N - ROUND ONE- AUS v SCO // Sat 29 Sep 6AM (AEDT) // 8 AM (NZDT) // Fri 8PM (BST)

I can't imagine a 5.3k crowd at east Hull is a huge money spinner for the tournament. I'd prefer they play in front of 2k to 3k actually in Scotland. At least there could be some people in that crowd who could become new fans rather than diehards in Hull who are already rusted on fans.

Easts Amateur Juniors who played NRL.

I read on another forum he was with Clovelly since under 6s. Not sure if true or not?

More than likely they were begging Darren Mooney to sign Matt Lodge

Hages would have got him over the line with a 5 year $750k a year deal with no behavioural clauses.

    Rumoured Targets 3

Maybe it averaged out at $250K a year? Could have been $150k $200k then $400k Even that is way to big a contract to someone who had played a handful of bench FG games at the time. Especially when Buhrer and Kostyjason seem to have signed for similar money.

Is their any confirmation that Tyler Randall is on $400k a year?

It looks like Joe Wardle"s brother made his debut for Huddersfield this year at 17. I wonder if he is on the radar? https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jacob_Wardle
