    Round 14 Vs Sharks

Gifted a top 2 roster? Do you remember how bad the 2019 season was? Do your remember all the shit thrown up about Ivan when released and had to pay 3 of our highest paid players to play at other clubs? Last year, no one picked the panthers to even make the 8. Go back 18 months and read all...

Does anyone know if Api as 18th man will be released to play next NRL next weekend?

The Maroons will certainly have a strong attacking side this year. Considering they won last year with a team called the worst side in QLD history, lets hope Fitter gets his selections and bench rotations rights this year, or we could be in for another series loss. At least there is no Bennet...

    Mighty pennies v the tigpies

So who replaces Yeo, Capewell and Leota? Smith and Hopgood added to bench, with Sorensen and Leniu added to the starting side? Hopefully Edwards is back, so Crichton can cover centre with Burton in the halves. Jennings in for To’o. Falls or May to partner Burton, or does Salmon get a game...

They upgraded Falls contract a couple of weeks ago, so he is eligible to play next week. He is also an excellent goal kicker, so can fill in there as well if selected.

Losing both Luai and Cleary will certainly be hard to cover. Martin and Luai would of go got the job done without Cleary, but Martin and May as the halves may be a struggle.

He may get a shot for game 2 if the Blues lose game 1 and Cook has a bad game. Fittler has shown he will make big game 2 changes if he doesn’t get the results in the first game.

Glad to see all 4 selected, possibly 5 if Martin gets the final bench spot. But wish they were starting with Luai and Yeo, rather than have them coming off the bench. The game could be over before they even make it onto the field if QLD get off to a fast start.

    2021 season

Another positive Panthers article from SMH worth a read. This one on how far they have come in just 2 years from hitting rock bottom with a 6 game losing streak and being bottom of the ladder, to winning 26 of their last 27 games! Interesting point from the article, there are only 5 players...

    Coach Ivan Cleary

How did Ivan playing May at 14 cost us Burton? Burton wants to play in the halves, not be a bench utility, so he signed elsewhere because he was never going to be a starting half at Penrith. But Ivan was spot on keeping faith in the Nathan/Luai halves combo, and even Andrew Johns admitted he...

    Round 7 Vs Knights

If no Edwards, he could also use Jennings at right centre to replace Momo, and leave Staines and Crichton where they have been playing. That would only mean one change.

    Round 7 Vs Knights

I think it’s more that he is inconsistent and goes missing in some games. But in games when he is switched on he is right up there with Tedesco, Tubo and RTS in skills and match winning ability. Last nights game is a good example of him being switched on and getting his team the win. And...

    Round 7 Vs Knights

I take a view that a player is only worth what a club is willing to pay him. Just because he wanted $600k doesn’t mean the club has to pay that if they don’t think he is worth it, or has the potential to each that value. They could of just let him walk, like they have with a number of players...

    Round 7 Vs Knights

He is learning as he goes though. With more games played, he will develop his skills and work out what style works best for him

    Round 7 Vs Knights

But it’s not his fault though what the club valued him at in order to keep him. They obviously signed him on that money based on the potential they think he has, rather than expecting a complete rep player performance from a young player in his second season.

    Round 7 Vs Knights

i haven’t watched a replay yet, but that was my impression of Crichton from watching it the first time. So good to have that confirmed from someone that has watched it again All the hate on Crichton for somebody that has only played three games at fullback seems way over the top. I think he...

    Panther future

I always thought Crawley was an absolute dickhead, but he went to a whole new level tonight. I almost threw my barbecue chicken at the tv screen when he brought up Panther arrogance and disrespect as his beef of the week. Probably a good thing I was starving and reframed from doing it.

    Non Penrith games

I guess the highlight was that they at least scored some points this week. But how f**ked is Barrett with the team he has. He moved the fullback he signed, to wing after 3 losses, then to centre after the 4th loss. And has moved the winger they overpaid majorly for to play centre for them...

    Round 5 vs the Raiders

The Panthers are lucky they got him signed up long term before the start of the season. The $700k a year is a bargain compared against the form he has shown in the first 5 games of the season. I can imagine the crazy dollars the desperate clubs would be throwing at him given his form this...

    Round 5 vs the Raiders

i don’t get all the Crichton hate. Last week was his first full game at fullback since high school, so it will take time to perfect the position in first grade. Plus he is only 20 and played only 30 games, so still developing his game and is going to go through form slumps like a lot of young...
