    Team vs the Tits

After 3 straight losses, this is the 'wake up' call that is needed. I don't agree with all of the changes, but we will see a Sharks side with a different attitude take the field this Saturday Night. These changes, coupled with the return of Gal, will see the Sharks win by 13+

Hey mate Just a quick message. Well said in posting 115 in "The match thread vs Dragons". They can be a fickle bunch on these forums. I still think that we will have a bit to cheer about between now and the end of the season and I have been proud of our team over the last month Cheers for...

Seriously, can we beat the Dragons again?

I hope that Flanno is able to get ET and some of the other 'old boys' into the Sharks change room for a pre-game 'rev up' like he did before the Round 2 game. That certainly helped

    Sharks ratings vs Broncs

I am prepared to give them one more month. The bye, the Dogs, the Titans and the Rabbits. If we can't get 6 points out of a possible 8 over the next month with that draw, then I will be putting my cue in the rack for season 2011.

    Don't let Gardner get smashed.

Agree with the above I am not sure if this has been posted elsewhere, but I noticed on Friday night that he got up gingerly from a tackle early in the second half. It looked like he injured (or re-injured) his ankle/leg. He favoured that leg for the rest of the match and wasn't his usual...

    Townsend

Ausguy, my understanding is that the 17 players listed to play 1st grade (In our case the Sharks) are posted on our change room door 1 hour before kick-off of the first grade game. That's all that matters. I remember 2 years ago that Trent Barrett was ruled out through injury during the week...

Shark warning: Flanagan tells players to shape up or else

A bit of 'late mail' Inferno. The NSW Cup side is now running first on percentages after todays win against the Bulldog's.

Thanks for posting this RCB. It was a great watch.

    YooTube

I have got quite a few old VHS vids of Sharks games hanging around at home (The 1989 play off for 5th spot against the Bronco's included) If I can work out how to put them on yootube, I will post them

    Recruitment: keep investing in youth

Speaking of youth, I notice that Stewart Mills will make his 1st grade debut on Sunday. It's always good when a local lad makes his debut. Can someone please tell me who the last local junior was that made his 1st grade debut for the Sharks? Just to be clear, I am not talking about someone who...

    under 20's result

Coastal Shark, he was 17 and still going to school at De La Salle Cronulla. He cemented a 1st grade spot a couple of years later

    Sharks send SOS to backs

Aren't they the same backs/finishers/etc that did the job against the Dragons and Penrith? A lot of this comes down to the players attitudes. If they bring the same attititude along each week that they showed against the Dragon's, they will win a lot more games.

    Team vs Souths

I agree with you Frenzy about Ike running the mid lines off the pigs. I think that he will be more affective doing it from fullback than what he would be doing it from the wing. He has been doing it in the couple of games that I have seen him play in NSW Cup. The other thing about Ike is that he...

Reason for loss? Fatigue & use of bench

You will have to excuse me on this one BTR. I did not have a program in front of me and I am not totally across the playing roster in the NSW Cup side. So, I am not sure if he got a run or not. Sorry

Reason for loss? Fatigue & use of bench

Reasons for loss? 1) Attitude: The Round 2 game against the Dragons set the benchmark for attitude. Where has that attitude gone? 2) Fatigue: We did look flat for long periods of the game yesterday. 3) Use of bench and who is on it: I went out to Henson Park on Saturday and watched the...

    Curious

Ahh yes. I remember that I was sitting in the Ettingshausen Stand that evening watching The Maestro score 5 tries. I also recall that at about 9:00pm that evening, with about 20 minutes to go in the game, a small earth tremor struck. The ET stand shook for a few seconds and as a result a number...

    Curious

Madunit If you are able to post details, that would be appreciated. A lot of my old VHS tapes of Sharks games are showing wear and tear around the edges (a bit like my body!) so if I can get a copy of some Sharks games on DVD that would be great.

    Curious

RCB, that game was the 1st time that a Sharks 1st grade side cracked 50 points in a game. ET scored a hat trick and I believe that Peach scored a hat trick that day as well. It was great watching blokes like Mat Rogers, ET, Peach, Whippet, Russell Richardson etc go around that year.

    Curious

I am sorry if this one has been posted previously. I am just curious as to what the best game of football is that you have seen a Sharks side play. Some might say it was when we put 60 on Manly in 2005 or 60 on Newcastle in 2002 or came back from 18-0 down at half time against the Cowboys and...
