    Captain's Challenge is a go in 2017 - 7th Tackle

Will not happen. The moment a team can't challenge a try, seen on replays as being blatantly wrong, just because they ran out of challenges, and there will be hell to pay.

    Grand Final Entertainment

it doesn't matter who they get so long as they bring some energy to the performance, ricky martin was a terrible choice, but it actually ended up being one of the better ones. I think Urban, Sambora & Orianthi are actually a pretty good pick, they will bring all the guitar riffs and shit...

2GB, ABC or Triple M, who do you listen to for your league coverage?

Gotta wonder how the AFL manages to con NSW/QLD media into believing people give a shit about the stupid game despite all indications to the contrary. Obviously they have no choice if they want the rights in the southern states, but in doing so they take the NRL rights for granted in NSW/QLD...

    2016 Crowd Watch

The games problem is self-fulfilling, its a great live experience when there's a big crowd & players definitely feed off it and lift intensity, but you cant get that live experience without the crowd.

Why does Sydney media hate rugby league?

yep, there's no better self promoter then a telegraph 'journo', they think they are celebrities. The majority are now columnists, not reporters, which means the byline becomes the brand, it's all about the journalist, not the subject. Unfortunately, once that happens the game becomes a punching...

Why does Sydney media hate rugby league?

Union in Australia should be a cautionary tale for the NRL in so far as the game shouldn't be complacent. The NRL need to be more bold.

Why does Sydney media hate rugby league?

It's a Sydney tabloid culture, more English in origin than the sycophantic Melbourne press. You will know AFL has made it in Sydney when the media start to dig for dirt. In the meantime, the rainbows & lollipops are just paid propaganda, or ammunition to troll the NRL, it's as artificial as...

    2016 Crowd Watch

Agree, memberships could go up eg.$5 and that portion goes to the NRL as compensation for finals revenue. The NRL wins because not every Sydney team will make finals, yet the NRL will still receive the $5 from their annual membership for finals. It would encourage more fans to sign up as members...

    2016 Crowd Watch

The NRL is too busy trying to put out off-field fires, including of their own doing, to draw any attention to what actually happens on the field.

    2016 Crowd Watch

Not surprised, but the crowd is really poor. Should have just played it at pepper. Were tickets overpriced? I think afl had tickets for only $10, in off chance you couldn't get one free. NRL need to start from scratch with ticketing, reduce prices dramatically and build demand for it again...

NRL rebellion: Rugby league clubs want CEO Dave Smith gone or threaten to leave comp

in a decade he may, but he didn't believe the game was ready now, which is what you have been whinging about.

NRL rebellion: Rugby league clubs want CEO Dave Smith gone or threaten to leave comp

it helps that they actually have local players to draw from, rugby league has very little, that should be the priority, not an NRL club.

But Robert Finch is 'rugby league people'... I agree hes dead weight though.

NRL rebellion: Rugby league clubs want CEO Dave Smith gone or threaten to leave comp

Smith always said expansion can come in many forms and at one point even cited the Nines as an example. All the bid teams rejoiced when he announced his resignation believing they stood a greater chance with someone else as CEO. The current clubs were always his priority & he was never a...

NRL rebellion: Rugby league clubs want CEO Dave Smith gone or threaten to leave comp

where does it say he wants to add new teams? He said clubs were the priority when he first came in and by his third year the NRL owned 2.5 of them and bailed out a fourth, safe to say they weren't 'in order by the end of 2014'.
