    England v Samoa 2024 series

Anyone know when Samoa name their squad? Lots of speculation on who may or may not be available. Interested to see where it all ends up.

    Pacific Cup 2024

Nice, thanks for sharing. Some good names there but are they missing anyone? I could be wrong but just expected a few more established first graders. At one stage it seemed like every club had a flying Fijian on their roster. And seeing Kamikamica’s name reminds me, does anyone know if he...

    Off Season 2024/25

Holy shit... he's never been the smartest dude but this is Olympic class dumb fkery. WTF man

    Pacific Cup 2024

Shit just been reading about that... coach tries to justify non-selection by saying she came off the bench for Origin, when in fact she started but just happened to be wearing the #15 jersey? Man... dude has dug himself into a hole alright.

    Pacific Cup 2024

Ok so there’s still a couple who haven’t made the jump. They've still done remarkably well getting players to commit haven’t they. Sorenson is a very good player, but he’d probably struggle to get a start over Katoa and Olakauatu. And they still have Koloamatangi and Tupouniua as well. Kiwis...

    Pacific Cup 2024

Nah no indication or anything… I just wasn’t sure where his allegiances lay. But if he’s already committed to Tonga then yea, it looks like they’ve hooked all their best players. That’s quite remarkable, especially compared to Samoa who have probably 8-9 eligible players aligned with the Roos...

    Pacific Cup 2024

I know right... the pack is monstrous and with Katoa, Hopoate and Luke they have some genuine class in the spine. Fk me that team is stacked. Other than maybe Dave Fifita, I'm struggling to think of a Tongan eligible player that's opted for either the Roos or Kiwis..? They seem to have...

    Pacific Cup 2024

No room for Hiku? I have no idea how he's been playing in SL but it'd be odd for Stacey to bring him all the way back unless he planned to play him in the 17 somewhere. Which might mean CNK shifts to 1 and Kini to the bench. I do like the idea of Kini at 1 though. Dude is a game breaker.

    Pacific Cup 2024

Yea more than a few useful names unavailable.. A couple of positives though.. pleasant surprise seeing one of the Penrith McLean boys there; I didnt know they had Kiwi ties. Happy to see Kini there too.

    Pacific Cup 2024

No Tedesco? Wow... 1 point off Dally M and cant make the test team. I know Mal said he was looking for versatility once he'd settled on his starters, and Edwards deserves the 1 jersey... but still cant believe there isnt room for Teddy somewhere.

    NRL Finals 2024

Yea I agree, Anderson our best for mine but Ivan not far behind. Ando has a slightly better win % and had the team playing finals 3/4 years, but more than that he had them playing their own style that suited the players and was so good to watch. Those boys had a bit of swag too. Not pretty...

    NRL Finals 2024

Yea shows how well they defended doesnt it. But all that work drained them on attack; Penrith absolutely owned them in the middle. Kamikamica and King only had 10 runs between them while Fish made 18 on his own.

    NRL Finals 2024

I do think Luai is a massive loss but yea, if Cleary gets through the season unscathed, Talagi lives up to the hype, and Papalii returns to form which would give them a genuine edge threat for the first time since Kikau... bloody hell they could be even better. I already cant wait for next...

    Pacific Cup 2024

Crichton, To'o and Tago may also be unavailable for Samoa according to sydney herald over the weekend.

New Zealand 2 will deal a massive blow to NZ rugby

No its actually the opposite... the review was commissioned by the new ARL CE, and NZRL are trying to meddle in things at the behest of some of the ARL directors who got suspended. Its a classic old boys network closing ranks. Hopefully the new ARL leadership stands firm and run a broom...

    Pacific Cup 2024

Cant forget old Konnie! Came here on a 1st XV scholarship like Eli but yea, everyone else would be NZ or Aussie born. Samoa pretty similar too... RTS, Crichton and Faalogo probably the only Samoan born players in their likely squad.

    ARL Investigation

Yea I read this earlier today as well.... what an absolute shit show. Just highlights the amateurism prevalent in the domestic game here. Should be a similar investigation at NZRL level as well IMO, especially as they appear to be running interference according to the article.

    NRL Finals 2024

That's really enlightening looking at it like that.... looks like Taumalolo is the only non-spine player to win it since Gavin Miller in 88-89. Makes sense when thinking about it I guess, but shows what a beast Taumalolo was that year.

    NRL Finals 2024

Yes I saw that... although I forgot there were two positional picks for wing, centre, second row and prop so my theoretical multi probably would've missed on one of those other 4 picks as well. Stoked for Jahrome but gees that 6 point deduction he copped was a surprise. Given how rough that...

    NRL Finals 2024

Yea I dunno TBH. It’s not like Galvin is the first rookie to be rubbed out. Preston was ruled out last year, and so was Walsh during his debut year with us. I don’t remember Gus blowing up those times. Maybe because it’s because Galvin is easily the best of this year’s crop, but if it’s the...
