    Yeah dunno about mason, and I don't see him leaving Newcastle. His performances this year have been solid and we could definitely use them next year, however he turns 35 in 2015. Don't want to judge him to heavily on him his past but he does come with risk in terms of media and off field issues...

    Desperately short about 3 props but as we keep saying, this year is about getting finals experience, strengthening combinations and building for the future. Tim Grant has no part in that future so I have no problem with him walking around in reserve grade.

    Yes I did watch the team play, and if you did you would clearly realise kellaway, milne, Hutchinson etc were all significantly faster.     I'm sorry but you are wrong, Tepai was definitely the slowest member of that backline and his success was from his strength, defence and skill not pace. Tepai is fairly standard pace for a backrower and nowhere near the pace of Ryan Morgan who is a notably quick centre.

    Neither of those halves are first grade quality, smith is above them in Ivan's eyes as well. I think it's fair we can blame what will be some rough losses on key injuries in the run home.
