I cant see unforced changes being made. Did Anderson kill it against the bears?

    Penrith's draw this year...

There's no doubt we will lose many but we will get our first pick of the stars that we can sign cheap whilst relatively young, we wont always have such incredible depth but we will always have strong competitive juniors to fill in injuries. Also players such as segeyaro have expressed their will...

NRL boss Dave Smith embarks on quest of massive reforms

Can't be bothered to read back so sorry if the point has been flogged. Basically in some way this is going to impede funding to junior development. If clubs aren't aggressive and competitive in fighting over young junior players, then those players may very well go to rugby union.

    Finals Bound, Lock it in.

We've been through some dark times but they appear to have passed, this season has been great as fan. Much appreciation to all the players, ecspecialy those who have filled in for injuries. And great work to Gus and Ivan, long way to go for the next few years but the clubs turnaround has been...

    Round 22 v Dragons

Fair point but our last tackle options were rushed nonetheless, missed many opportunities for repeat sets and points. So will Simmons be out next week?

    Round 22 v Dragons

Bloody good win for the state the team is in. Our 5th tackle attacking options were poor however, when Simmons went down we seemed to abandon high kicks to the wing and throw the ball aimlessly until a nothing kick was made by a non-kicker.

Terrible game, parramatta's errors were shocking. Canberra deserved to win.

    Rumoured signings 2014 / 2015

Eh I'm not sure Ryan Morgan is the best option. It would be wise for parra to shop around but otherwise they have some nice juniors coming through such as goodall and maybe folau.

    Who will be missed more

Roosters will be fine, Burgess is much more crucial to souths.

    Josh Reynolds (spoilers)

Is there some form of plea bargaining used in the judiciary? Are other smaller charges anyway considered in deciding how many weeks for the primary charge? If not I reckon the kick warrants 1 week and the high tackle 1 week but the trip any less than 5 is soft.

    Slater or Hayne

Judging players on what they're like "at their best" or the "peak of their powers" is completely pointless...

    Slater or Hayne

I think he is an excellent playmaker, at least in the fullback role. He has been put in the halves because of this but his athleticism is much better suited to fullback. He can deliver excellent cut-out balls and is great at skipping across the field drawing the man and putting his centre in space.

Yep. The highlights for the penrith v warriors game in 2013 in New Zealand is also a good source.

NRL Team Of The Year So Far

He is a top notch finisher, but his real value is in his metres. Averages something like 2nd highest in the comp and provides the go-forward that the Penrith props lack.

    Hayne named games best player

I think he is probably the best defensive fullback or at the very least deserves to be in the discussion, recently he has more tried to strip the ball with defenders on the line which may give the impression he is being soft but it's had some great results (thaiday in origin). But he still has...
