Team v Titans- where the hell do we go to from here?

Afoa is leaving gaps in the line as he does not show any urgency in defence. Attack is a problem with the Warriors, but if Kearney keeps accepting players who don't even get into the space to compete for the tackle, the they will continue to get flogged each week. At least if your defense...

    3-2-1 v Dragons

You cannot give any points to a forward pack that was completely outplayed. The lazy forwards in the middle are what is losing the Warriors games. Failing to get into the line on broken play and then missing tackles. Failure to get the shoulder into the tackle and win the PTB. I counted about 2...

    Team v Dragons.

Was about to post the team too. Kearney is showing some serious loyalty here. I cannot believe that Lolohea is there. Everyone else has shown SOME good patches. Foran will be better for a run in reserves.

    Lolohea and Manu Gotta go

Sure it might sound melodramatic, but consider the draw we have had. 5 of 6 games in NZ at the start of the season which means plenty of away games at the backend of the season. We have still had a slow start and looking very, very average. The dragons next week and they are looking good. And...

    Lolohea and Manu Gotta go

Lolohea added absolutely nothing tonight. If he plays 1st grade again this year, something is very wrong. If Kearney picks him, there will be no respect from me. Manu, just too injury prone now. We need a good winger with some pace. Luke is probably a liability. Time for Clark to get the gig...

How are ticket sales going for the Bulldogs game?

    Team v Bulldogs

Why are people so excited about Sipley? I watched the reserve grade game the week before and most of the televised ones last year. Don't think he is that outstanding. Matilino on form is easily our best option. I have to admit I like watching Gubb because he plays every game out of his skin and...

    Team v Bulldogs

I'd be very surprised if you got one wrong there. Two very similar players in ken and Manu. RTS might be right though, was concussion. they always seem to come right.

    Vs Knights Rnd1 2017

Re the round the ankles tackles, I think you should look at the current team and opposition tactics. Teams are obviously working on short passing at the line to get one on one with defenders so that the gang tackles can't happen. When one on one they have players then using leg drive to make an...

    Round 1 v Knights

Hot off the press: No Manu. Gubb and Vete are the starters. Erin Clark looks like he might have the inside running as well as Papalil'i? VODAFONE WARRIORS v NEWCASTLE KNIGHTS Mount Smart Stadium, Auckland 4pm, Sunday, March 05 1 Roger Tuivasa-Sheck (c) 2 Tuimoala Lolohea 3 David Fusitu’a 4...

Where will we finish in 2017?

Hopefully they can win the first game of the season. That would be a good start. I can't remember the last time we won the first game. That will show a change of direction straight away.

    Trial v Titans @ Palmy, 19th Feb 2pm

Well what I saw was both Vete and Gubb taking the line on and getting the pre-requisite 7 or 8 metres, having 2 or 3 players in the tackle and a reasonable quick PTB and then get in the line to show a lot of energy in defence. Then a quick turnaround to do it again. Rubbish about not getting...

    Trial v Titans @ Palmy, 19th Feb 2pm

The starting props Vete and Gubb were bloody good. I know there are a lot of Gubby haters out there, but he looked really good until he went off. The energy of these two was great though and they dominated the Titans. Afoa had that super energy as well. Papalli was really impressive. Pretty...

    Trial vs Storm. 11th Feb.

I watched most of the game except the last 20. Agree first half they looked pretty good and the line speed was so much better than last year. When the line was moving forward the Storm was going nowhere. The handling was poor and Jazz's general play was good but dummy half service was a bit...

    Charlie Gubb

So you experts think we don't want any players out there going 100% and playing with every bit of passion and fire they can muster, every game. Thats what Charlie does and thats what he offers. There are players who can bend the line and show more flair. But they don't do it all the time...

Ben Barba and Colombian Marching Powder

Never happen......o wait, Money Bill, with co-incidently Toulon. Ben's different, he has not contract but that doesn't stop some players. Unfortunately, it all worked out fine for Money Bill, so why can't other players do it?

Ben Barba and Colombian Marching Powder

To my knowledge, Barba would never have played a Rugby game in his life. He is expecting to go to France and play in the top 14 side? Rugby can't be that hard can it, if this is what is going to happen? Raa Raas tell me their game is far more complex and difficult to understand. If those blokes...

    4N - ROUND TWO - AUS V NZ // Sun 6 Nov 7AM (AEST) 9AM (NZDT) Sat 8PM (BST)

Agree that was a very, very average game of football and just lacked aggression and passion. JT was pretty impressive and easily the best player on the field. Cameron Smith gets away with murder in the rucks. Re the crowd, seemed to lack atmosphere.

    Stephen Kearney new Warriors Coach

Re: The warriors, the fact that McFadden is still there as an assistant will at least ensure some consistency and they don't go back and do the same shit trying to make it work when it doesn't at the Warriors. That will also at least ease the players consciences as it was their fault that Cappy...
