    Reynolds reaction wouldnt have been out of place 20-25 years ago when I played in the 80's. Now you have to be nice to your team mates and you are not allowed to say the wrong thing. If you did something wrong back then, you would expect and would get a complete serve. Different times I guess.

    Laumape probably saw what happens with league reject Milner Skudder and thought that option could look good. Laumape has more experience than Milner Skudder, though a different type of player. Milner Skudder was an 'also ran' in League and a superstar in rugby. Can Laumape do that too? Guess so.

    Gubb 3 Vete 2 Manu 1 Wasn't it great to see some mongrel out there. Gubby got some good minutes and really bent them, so did Vete and Manu. Robson was ordinary in attack. Will TL get a run next week. Reckon Jazz was better than Issac L to be honest. RTS is starting to come good.

    It was pretty clear that Bluey lost the dressing room and that was the end. McFadden probably has to stay as noone is going to be able to start mid season and turn things around. This comp aint that easy.

    Kata was a lot better and for once they didn't score all their tries through his side. RTS the Turnstyle. Has he made a tackle in a warriors jumper yet? The team was better this week. Johnston wasn't, but he can't play well every week. Johnston's defense was real ordinary.

    You are not going to tell me there were thousands there are you? Bush footy has bigger crowds than Sydney lower tier games, even in the 80's when I had spells playing in both the city and country. There would not have been an improvement in crowds in the intervening years....

    One thing seems to be apparent. The ARL has worked out what a lot of us already know. That putting the development of RL generally, in the hands of the NRL clubs themselves, is a really dumb idea. This appears to be a step towards taking the development and second tier of the competition away...

    Wellington or Christchurch are unlikely to be able to support a team themselves, and Fiji certainly couldn't. Splitting between the two would make it viable and would develop the game in the pacific.

    Well Ive seen nearly seen every GF since 75. Missed 91-93 when living overseas. I can't make up my mind whether this was better than 89 or not. Two contrasting styles of football teams, some excellent individual stuff. This one was fast. 1989 is folklore. Hard call but jees this one is close.
