Storm v Knights - Game thread

McDonnell was one of our best out there tonight, Rogers was bloody hopeless. Wicks best game ever for the Knights, Gidley played his arse off. We did everything but win the bloody game, very unlucky.

    Phil Rothfield....

Rothfield = D!ckhead Really don't know how this bloke can be taken seriously, he's a hack of the highest order.

Round 6 (2009) WARRIORS vs COUGARS

Antonius slips on the left over burger while running out for the Warriors, he manages to stay upright and join the battle. It's all captured by the vid ref...

The "PLEASE Brian, sign a halfback" Thread

Exactly, everyone rants on about how good it is, it is very, very average IMO, he makes as many clangers kicking the ball as Rogers, and Kidley, I'd rate Dureau above all of them in the kicking dept. Sure he's put a couple out on the full going for 40/20's (no more than wonder boot) but in...

Quality of Knights mercy would not be strained if Cooper Vuna given second chance

Plenty of players prove that is not a major requirement to be a footy player.

Daniel Abraham sets out on long road back to play for Kurri

The cows got him to fill a spot for them from the Mackay club (they must be a feeder club for them) when they were very short last year due to injuries. Think he played a couple of games but looked very unfit, still had some nice touches though.

Quality of Knights mercy would not be strained if Cooper Vuna given second chance

Some serious food for thought in that piece. Hard to argue with Dillons reasoning. Vuna does seem to be very naive. Anyway it's good he's decided he wants to stay and get back into first grade.

Vuna on Lookout For Early Release!

Just read that in todays paper, good news that he is going try and force his way back into first grade.

    Phil Gould

Potato Head in Newcastle? Never thought I'd say this, but yes he would be the guy to get us another premiership if Smithy can't. I haven't written off Smith as being able to acheive that though, and really it's hard to imagine Gould resuming his coaching stint.

Steve Simpson's two tons of toughness

Simmo ranks up there with the top half dozen players who have ever played for the club. One tough customer too.

Vuna on Lookout For Early Release!

Your words. I'm not putting words in your mouth. What I'm saying is that had a bloke working for say BHP had problems with fines and resultant court appearances etc and they knew about it they would offer him advice re his situation. I know for a fact that my company does and have done that...

Fair enough, I thought he was younger than that.

Vuna on Lookout For Early Release!

No I'm not saying that, I'm saying without knowing his details ie:- age, how long has he been here and so on does he know how things work in Australia? did he know that would happen. Coby infered that employers don't care about what happens to their employees outside work even if it's by their...

Vuna on Lookout For Early Release!

That's good, I'm pleased you explained. My workplace offer counciling to employees on any number of issues, and I'm sure you'll find Coles and the majority of large companies do likewise (research it I'm sure you'll be surprised at what you find). I'll assume the club was unaware of his trafic...

Vuna on Lookout For Early Release!

100% correct Karma. Vuna IMO is way ahead of those two and as I said Uate at the moment, he has shown enough in the past to warrant perservering with, sh!t it's not like he's killed anyone, gone out on a bender and punched someones lights out, or abused anyone. He has been poorly managed by the...

Vuna on Lookout For Early Release!

How old is he? Minder was a poor choice of words, maybe advisor? He has been ignored football wise As far as I'm concerned. He played well v roosters and has been ignored since, standing him down over the trafic infringements smacks of looking for excuses not to pick him. The club could have...

Vuna on Lookout For Early Release!

Just read in todays Newcastle Herald that Vuna is looking to get an early release. West Tigers have showbn interest, and his manager is also exploring options in England. Lack of oportunity in first grade is the reason he is looking elsewhere. Have to say I think he's been managed poorly by...
