    I'd like that, but I think it will take time to get a halves pair working well together. Still think we're a top 8 side, maybe top 4, but I expect us to be much better in the second half of the season than in the first. Storm, Warriors, Manly, Cowboys, Raiders, Tigers, Newcastle and Broncos...

    I like the captain's challenge idea. Allow them to be wrong twice to prevent captains challenging every decision going against them. This would certainly clear most of the howlers we see, such as the Watamong PTB, or the DCE possible obstruction in the GF... Obviously, this implies sound...

    Uh... NO! Maybe some senior citizens who witnessed some of those premierships would think that way, but I'm sure even them would prefer to see their club be competitive and play finals, instead of being the jesters of the NRL...

    Your last sentence makes me shiver, because unfortunately, it's true... :roll: Yesterday, we supposedly had the best referees on display, and they managed to make a meal of it. They definitely had an influence in the final result, and that imo is unacceptable! You are right that the Warriors...

    Yes, agreed. As a Broncos fan, I felt the same way about the QF against Manly. Fact is, Manly were ruthless, took advantage of that bit of luck with refs calls and the bounce of the ball and rode the wave. Can't really blame them for that...

    IMO, it's a knock on, and he definitely has no control of the ball... Having said that, I've seen worse given this year! :roll:

    This was not as bad as the Tigers - Warriors or Manly - Broncos, but there were dodgy calls in the first half which influenced the outcome of the game imo. The Watamong PTB and DCE obstruction as well as a late tackle by DCE on a grubber kick by Johnson which prevented him from chasing his kick...

    I was on a call... some of us have to work for a living. I don't expect you to understand, but ask the asylum orderly what that means... While you're at it, ask him to explain the difference between a physical location and a cultural/perceived one. If it helps, ask him why people would call...
