You could add "listen to what their coach is saying to the media" to that little bit.

Well said. Great teams make great players, not the other way around.

    Ricky Quits !!!

Why is it so hard for your Ricky-lovers to see that he's been the major cause of our poor onfield performance for the past 3 years? Kimmorley was never the handbrake, it was Ricky's coaching style. Even in 2008 we were hardly convincing depite finishing top of the table. For those who may have...

    I support the Storm

I'll give 'em my support when they stop cheating. So long as they have the current player roster they will continue to have an unfair advantage and cost other teams points. Once Melbourne or the NRL find some solution to this I'll give them the same support I gave them before this story broke...

    Storm sponsors now walking

Who needs sponsors when the cash you get given by the NRL and News Ltd is more than Cronulla's total operating budget?

As supporters it's time to speak up

Sharkelicious does have a point though. After supporting this club for 43 years I too am fed up with this underperforming rabble. Here's a list of the ways I have tried to rectify this situation as a supporter. 1. Called for the sacking of the coach 2. Called for the sacking of the players 3...

    Sharks' tough trial

$18 for a grandstand seat and kids get in free. Sounds good to me.

    St George Illawarra Dragons

2009: Dogs 19 wins (at least), Dragons 17 wins I would also like to congratulate the Roosters on having a great year and they too are the best team despite having not won more matches than everyone else.

    Can anyone confirm this...?

Of course, but that's not the point I'm making. Certainly what the Saints have "achieved" is no worse than those other teams but combined with the current finals system it has resulted in a situation never before seen in 102 years.

    Can anyone confirm this...?

Once again, all three examples made it to WEEK 3 of the finals (admittedly only because of a finals system that was kinder to the minor premiers). I just find it interesting that it that in 102 seasons with so many different finals formats it's happened so rarely.

    Can anyone confirm this...?

Nope. Dogs in 1993 still went out in Week 3.

    Can anyone confirm this...?

... that St George are the first Minor Premiers to be knocked out in week 2 of the finals? There have been a number of instances that I can see of teams losing two straight to be knocked out in week 3, even during the era of 4-team finals (St George '68 and Manly '71 when finals were played...

    Arrghhh choke choke splutter splutter

Manly lost two straight in 1971 (4 team finals) but in those days it was one finals game per week so they still made it to week 3. Same thing happened to St George in '67. As far as I can see no minor premiership winning team has ever been knocked out in week 2. The nearest I can see is in...
