Any POMs want an avatar bet??

Just tried to change avatar and my old one's come out. Will try again.

Any POMs want an avatar bet??

I'm here. Wasn't in the mood to go on-line this weekend for some reason! What a load of garbage eh? Talk about an anticlimax!

    The Fielden Smokescreen

I'm the chairman of the Supporters Association since you ask. Whilst I wouldn't claim to have the absolute correct inside info I do get to hear a lot of the rumblings from the club. Fielden joining Canberra in 2005 hasn't been one of them. If he does leave I'd be very, very surprised.

Any POMs want an avatar bet??

Great. Now all we need is for the Brits to wipe the floor with your mob!

Any POMs want an avatar bet??

I'll have a bet with you both, should make things more interesting! If GB win you two have to have a British flag avatar for a week. If Oz win I'll change to an Aussie flag for a week. Deal?

    Stuart Fielden

He's been well p***** off with his form this year and in the Tri Nations. On form he's streets ahead of anyone over here and most in the NRL. Only Webcke is better IMO.

    The Fielden Smokescreen

Sorry guys. Fielden won't be going to Canberra in 2005. No chance. Think Mascord and a few Journo's totally misinterpreted Fielden's "lap of honour". Stuart is always the last of the field at any game and always applauds the fans at all ends of the ground before he goes off. It's...

English interest in Cowboys prop (RA)

How old is he? If he's 27 I'd be interested in seeing him at Bradford. He'd be 28 by the end of 2005 and still have a good 3 years left. He's looked top class whenever I've seen him. As for SL being a League of "has-beens" the tide is turning. The Aussie Schoolboys have been beaten...

No Tri Nations in 2005, but France to tour Aust.

RLIF is a paper tiger, the real decision makers (unfortunately) are the clubs. If you'd have told me prior to the Tri Nations that an Ashes tour to Australia was on in 2005 I'd have been overjoyed. Now I'm not so sure. The Tri Nations comp has been huge in the UK and RL has hit a real...

    BRITISH WINGERS

Rooney's shown he's a good finisher but he's not shown the same appetite for work as Carney. Carney's a worker and a finisher. Reminds me of Michael Hancock in his prime in some ways.

    Ben Jefferies

He had a good season in 2004 and looked a different player to the one who struggled in 2003. In fact in 2003 a lot of Wakey fans didn't rate him. Whether he can continue such good form in 2005 is up to him.

    Overseas player quota

He was mentioned as a possible squad member but wanted to stay as an Aussie. He's still on quota at present. Depends if he marries over here and gets and EU passport.

    working holiday in the UK

You may get paid megabucks in London but everything costs megabucks too so it doens't make any difference. You're better off in the north. It's a bit cheaper, friendlier and more RL to choose from. Plus much nicer countryside.

Farrell - "Aussies are soft" / What is up with the

The Lions have only played one game in Aus since 1992 and they only had a few days to prepare/get over jet lag. They'd no warm up games or training camp. They were on a hiding to nothing. Given proper preparation they would be as competitive as they are now.

    Leon Pryce?

Yeah would've been in the GB squad had it not been for a bad shoulder injury.

Dang. A win for France would have been great for the game over there.

    Overseas player quota

Foreign Players in the Bradford line up are: Micheal Withers - On Quota Brad Meyers - On Quota Shontayne Hape - On Quote Joe Vagana - Kolpak Lesley Vainikolo - Kolpak Robbie Paul - Resident (He came off quota when the rule was that if a player spent 5 years playing for a UK club he came...

    Vainikolo ruled out

From what I've heard this isn't cut and dried. Vainikolo could still play vs GB.
