    Q. about home games next week

Home City semi....... it will be either Telstra or SFS, not Parra Stadium

    Nice Continuity Channel Nein

Next season, I would like to see ACA take a permanent holiday on Friday nights and then we could have 2 LIVE games..... the first kicking off at 6.30pm and the second kicking off at 8.30pm.

    Bill Harrigan

Of course it was a penalty try. Deep down, every Parra fan knows that in the instant they saw the pass going towards Witt, they were hoping he would drop it as that was the only way the try was going to be prevented (other than Witt being tackled without the ball of course!).

    Nice Continuity Channel Nein

Warriors took a tap and then grubbered it into touch to end the half.

    Nice Continuity Channel Nein

Coverage starting at 7pm didn't just let Nein show ACA...... it also means they can slip in ads without missing any of the action.......... except when they stuff up the continuity. Off to a break at a scrum at 27mins gone and come back with a scrum mid field at 35 mins !! Luckily someone...

NRL's new 2 Strikes Drug Policy Still Too Soft

My point about using ASADA was that the tests need to be done by an independent body who has no motive to cover up the results and protect their "stars". I assume ASADA would have no problem if the NRL asked them to test for illicit drugs on non-match days.

NRL's new 2 Strikes Drug Policy Still Too Soft

I guess that is my biggest problem with the policy....... it is too much about the player who has been caught and not enough about keeping our sport clean and deterring people in the first place. My view is that the primary goal of the policy should be to support the Government (and Society...

NRL's new 2 Strikes Drug Policy Still Too Soft

I don't understand why the NRL's new "2 Strikes" drug policy doesn't result in LIFE BAN as the penalty for the 2nd Strike?? The whole policy is still too soft. The "1st Strike" is effectively covered up by the authorities (no public naming, no suspension) while the "2nd Strike" is only a 12...

    Rule Change

The rule always used to be interpreted the way you described RufusRex - if you were making a tackle and the ball came into contact with your hand or arm (please note Waltzing Meninga), then it was a knock-on/six again/knock back (depending on which way the ball went and who came up with it)...

    R24 Sun - Warriors v Manly Warringah

The rule should be changed so that a player who falls on a ball should be entitled to just stay down. After a second or two the ref can call "surrender" and the tackle is then deemed completed. That will end the farcical situation of defenders standing there hoping for either a voluntary...

    Contains spoilers - Hasler

There were definitely some bad decisions, but in the end some poor errors (and not from the PL replacements) cost us more....... intercepts from Orford and Monas, Orford failing to find touch, Robertson dropping it cold twice (although he was good for much of the game), Afamasaga going for the...

    R24 Sun - Warriors v Manly Warringah

It was Halden and Burns who missed him, not Robertson and Watmough.

    Cowboys earn home final

None of which would be necessary if people who didn't want to know the score simply stayed off the net. Why does everyone else have to tip toe around you ?

    Cowboys earn home final

It never ceases to amaze me how some people think they can come onto a League forum at half time of a replayed game and expect to not have the final result revealed. Next time you don't want to know the score, stay off the Net.

"Too many NRL teams in Sydney "Gallop.

I wouldn't place too much faith in these figures........ some clearly don't add up. Cowboy's sponsorship, gate and leagues club = $11.379mill and total revenue is listed as $12.126mill - what happened to the NRL Grant of $3.35mill ? Same for the Storm - or is the SMH trying to stick it to News...

Get the drug testers in at canberra

I think it is time we all boycotted putting up spoiler warnings....... if you don't want to know the result of an in progress or delayed telecast game, then stay off the net.

    Benji's Glass Shoulder Strikes Again

Benji is still very young. If I was him, I would take the rest of 2007 and all of 2008 off to try and get it right (and suitably strengthened) before returning in 2009...... maybe even 2010 if that is what it takes. If it works, he would still have a good 6+ years ahead of him.

OFFICIAL - Changes to Obstruction Rule

Finch should compile a video of all the obstruction calls this year that have led to no tries (or in some cases a disputed try eg B. Stewart v Titans) and highlight which ones would be ok (ie no obstruction) and which would still be considered an obstruction under the new interpretation. The...

    1990 Grand Final on Fox

How many 40/20's would Sticky have got if the rule had been in that day ?

    1990 Grand Final on Fox

I watched the first half of the 1990 Grand Final (Raiders v Penrith) on Fox after the Manly v Cowboys game and the thing that struck me the most was how QUICK the play the balls were. Tacklers would make a tackle and then get off as fast as they could to get back in position as marker (most...
