Football Stadiums in NZ and their capacities?

So what stadiums would the Rugby League World Cup use? Obviously Auckland, Christchurch , Wellington to get games but any other cities or stadiums you would recommend? Maybe Waikato Stadium in Hamilton after getting over 17 thousand there for a wet , fogged in game on the weekend. I think...

Football Stadiums in NZ and their capacities?

After seeing the success with the crowd at Waikato Stadium I just wanted to put together a Stadium list with Location and Capacity. If anyone could help with this as it prepares us for the World Cup in 2008. Would love to see some of these games in NZ.

RFL to back Welsh professional club

This is awesome news and I really hope the Welsh community will support this venture. I'm sure with enough sponsorship and support the team could one day make it to the lofty height of the Super League. I know they've tried and failed once before but lets put steps in place so this kind of...

    International Logo

MH is logo is a good idea but how about the colours that surround it actually change depending on where the team is from . For instance the Blue and red for england and Red and Black for PNG. This stops any teams getting angry because of the choice of colours.

    UK Tri Nations Venues

Sorry but St Helens play at Knowsley Road and to be honest it's a old stadium but generates good atmosphere.

    RLWC 2008 Rumours

Good ideas but the amount of weeks the comp is over needs to be reduces. With a split 2 pools of 5 we have a problem with 1 team having to have a bye which adds time to the comp. Maybe it will be more cost effective if we do add 2 more teams in and make it 12 and drop the bye . Like the union...

    RLWC 2008 Rumours

Yankeeboy--Don't like how the teams play each other twice in the pool games. Turn it into 3 X 4 team pools if it's a 12 team comp. Then the top 2 from each Pool progress to the next round with 2 wild card spots awarded to the two highest total points after the Pool games. Nice idea though...

    UK Tri Nations Venues

Makes the drive for the Bradford , Leeds , Hull fans alittle further but true great ground and not far from Wigan , St Helens and the main heart of Manchester. Not sure whether Liverpool F.C would be interested. Don't think any other sport other than Sooccer has been staged there. Think the...

    RLWC 2008 Rumours

For Financial reasons I feel the World Cup should only have 10 Teams . 2 x 5 Country Pools . The more teams and the more games played will add huge costs . Lets keep the games in our heartlands. We cannot afford to have teams flying all over the country . Games in Sydney, Gosford, Wollongong...

    UK Tri Nations Venues

Disappointing as this means alack of Staduim choice for fans in the West . They may have to go for Bolton which can be a bit of a nightmare to get to. So much easier for fans to get to Man City or Man Uniteds grounds. Upset that something can't be worked out with Wigan. Unfortunetly St Helens...

Who would you have in World Cup 2007?

I'm not asking for amateurs , I'm asking for players from their own leagues... Would be such a great learning curve for the local comp players of P.N.G , Tonga and Lebanon. Imagine if you were a young ispiring Tongan and given a dream chance to represent your country and play and learn with...

Samoa vs. Tonga at the end of the year?

Bring it on. The more internationals the better. Especially with the World Cup coming up in 2008 . I'm so confident we can make this a success. I will go to as many games as possible. Play the game in Campbelltown or Auckland with the winner playing New Zealand.

Who would you have in World Cup 2007?

It would be nice to see a mandatory 4 players have to come from the local leagues in that country. Even if they get 10 minutes games time , just to train and play with players of NRL quality would be fantasticfor them personally and great for that players family and team mates. Not to mention...
