    Good On Ya Tigers

You've written with such a passion that you sound like you should be a die-hard Tiger. What are you doing supporting the Eels when your dad is a Wests Tigers director, anyway???

Only one word to describe it:

What did they think on the Footy Show?

Only one word to describe it:

But you didn't know, did you? And neither did Dickhead Mander. In the case of doubt, what is the rule? Who is supposed to get the benefit of the doubt?

    PASS THE F#@KING BALL

I was also screaming for Prince to pass it. I taped the game and have had a look at the repaly. There was a Brisbane player between Prince and Moodie who probably would have got it had he passed the ball.

    A load of bullsh*t

I was amazed that Warren Smith argued with Laurie Daley, saying "the benefit of the doubt doesn't always have to go to the attacking team". As Laurie said, "Then why have the rule?" I feel gutted!

    IT'S OFFICIAL................

When I first heard about the likely use of Telstra Stadium some weeks back, I was desperately disappointed  ... for two main reasons: 1. the loss of tradition associated with Campbelltown and Leichhardt; 2. the loss of atmosphere in huge place like Telstra (the 19,000+ at the Souths...

'Prince Polishes Mr.Sheens' ... or a slightly different twist: "Mr Sheens polishes Prince"

    Ground Announcer

Did anyone else apart from me (and the Souths supporter friend I was with) get totally pissed off with the ground announcer yesterday? He was annoying to the point of embarrassment, IMO. Aside from his incessant chatter, he persisted with stating the bleeding obvious. Most of us knew...

    Pathetic referees

make that 6th ... Souths, Brisbane, Penrith, Canberra, Manly, Canterbury.

    Well Done

Have you ever seen a team play as well as the WTs last night and lose???? Went to the game and came away feeling a strange mixture of emotion ... excitement over the closeness at the end  , pride in the players :D , disappointment at the result  and white hot anger with that...

    Melbourne are a dirty team

Agree 100% with jirsky. Maybe "dirty" is not quite the right word but "niggly" and "boundary stretching" both apply. Thought it after the last game in Melbourne when we came away with 2 or 3 broken noses (including Mark O'Neill's ... broken by none other than Danny Williams!!!). Know it after...

    The Maggie's

Wests moved to Campbelltown in the 1980s (1987 I think) but prior to that (and after leaving Pratten Park), thay played for MANY years at Lidcombe Oval. Changing demographics and the introduction of new clubs over the years have forced changes. Wests had to give up territory to St George, then...

    Preofessional Referees

Strange as it may sound, I believe we did. We got within 8 points with hardly any ball. Imagine what the score would have been had we had an even share of the penalties. As for that specious argument (put forward by some, e.g. Canberra supporters) that we brought the penalties on ourselves...

    Paul Gallen ?

And that dumb leg pull late in the tackle at the end of the game led directly (via a penalty and missed tackle) to the 9th Dragons try that brought up the 50 points (sounds so much worse than 46-, don't you think!)

    Team Announced

Southern Tiger, thank you for the advice. Did it occur to you that the number of posts may have no connection with the number of posts read? I may only post on the odd occasion but, I assure you, I read the posts on this forum almost everyday. I don't recall laying down any rules but you are...

    Team Announced

Ditto to all B Tiger has written in the last two posts. Whilst respecting everyone's right to express an opinion, it gets a bit tiresome reading posts from some people constantly wanting something different ... and thereby suggesting that Tim Sheens is not making the best calls. If it isn't...

    Request for Video

This is a plea for help. Last week, before heading to Leichardt to watch the WTs play the Eels, I cued a video tape and asked my daughter to tape the game. Unfortunately, she rewound the tape first ... and TAPED OVER the Canberra and Bulldogs games. Since they were two of the better...

What ... like Terry Lamb or Paul Langmack???

    Laffranchi's "No Try"

Yep ... could SO EASILY have been a try ... if only Moodie had looked up (so that he at least appeared to be goinbg for the ball), all would probably have been sweet. 6 points there and another 6 for the disallowed try at the end ... all IFs but the score could have been 42-26. :P

    Rod Broderick

If that is the case, it's very sad. He was a good player ... a centre I think ... but I believe his name was RON (not Rod) Broderick. I once coached a schoolboy team in the Auburn area and had him and Ted Goodwin come alonmg to a few training sessions. Both were great with the kids.
