Is the Swannies media coverage in Sydney justified?

I'd like to see Melbourne people accept more than one code of footy, but that is never likely to happen. I wonder why they won't watch a football code other than AFL, it's always intrigued me. I guess Sydney is just better.

Is the Swannies media coverage in Sydney justified?

I think we've seen via the fabulous TV ratings for the AFL grand final (which will probably beat the numbers for the NRL Grand Final IN SYDNEY) that the media coverage of the wonderful Swans was justified. I'd like to see AFL and rugby league share equal media coverage in Sydney from next...

Is the Swannies media coverage in Sydney justified?

Hello peoples, it's grand final week and the bloods are in the big one. But what I wanna know is the coverage they are getting in Sydney this week and last in proportion with the support for AFL and the Swans in Sydney. Are the Sydney papers going over the top and neglecting the NRL. This is...

Telstra Stadium and Suncorp crowds this weekend

It's a Sunday game so I'm tipping 43,000 at Telstra against Brisbane. It Should just beat the Suncorp game by 3,000. :D Should be two excellent games.

RL is alive when you see this:

It was a great game, and Leichhardt Oval was once a great ground to watch footy. With a fantastic crowd of close on 23k people the stage was set for a great atmosphere. It didn't end up like that unfortunately. The ground is incapable in its current state to accomodate a crowd of that size. -...

    Question

The Lions seem to get the gabba at over 90 percent capacity every week. LAst Saturday night they would have got 50,000 had a stadium been big enough.

    Question

Which photo is funnier? The Swans one or the wooden spoon one? I know which one is tougher.

    Question

I've never posted that photo before even though it is my all time favourite. It shows just how manly AFL culture is. You can't get tougher than the people in that photo. My prayer is for the Roosters to miss the finals this year and wooden spoons for all chookies the year after.

    Question

Will the Broncos crowd average ever top the Lions in a season again? The Gabba's capacity will be boosted to 44,000. The Lions will average around 40,000 in future seasons.

It's a shame about the Broncos

The Broncos have won 10 in a row and can only half fill the best stadium in the country. If the Lions had a stadium big enough they would average 40,000. Several games have been sold out months in advance. Thank heavens brisbane league fans have the Maroons to get passionate about, because...

It's a shame about the Broncos

No. Brisbane is fast becoming a rugby league city (which it has always been) with the Lions being the most popular side. A rugby league city with an AFL side as it's most popular team. As I said, Weird huh? Read the sentence a little differently next time and you will see what I mean.

It's a shame about the Broncos

They've won 10 in a row and can only half fill one of the best stadiums in the country. So your saying they have to win back to back premierships to get the crowds of old back? I think they are playing just as well now to get the people back. Face facts, they could win 5 premierships in a row...
