Who really cares about city country. How bored must people be to be talking about this sh*t. So many players are unavailable even i could make the rubbish sides.

I'm still pinching myself. They are the biggest roughies of any code ever.

    Pathetic commentary

You are spot on. Night grand finals are a myth.

Was this the most boring Grand final ever?

I don't mind rugby league and watch a fair bit of it, but I'm an AFL fan first and foremost and think tonight's whole experience will only help AFL's cause in Sydney. People are already comparing the two grand finals on an entertainment basis, a match basis and what transpired afterwards (the...

Was this the most boring Grand final ever?

Pete Murray was the highlight of the night, the potty mouthed Tigers were the lowlight.

Is the Swannies media coverage in Sydney justified?

 The AFL need more people like you in Sydney. Keep it up matey, I like your style.

Was this the most boring Grand final ever?

Be afraid, be very very afraid. Potty mouthed boofheads don't help the image. Watch this grand final victory to be forgotten in the Sydney media in the next couple of days as the big cricket kicks in. The Swans' jubilation kept going for a week.

Was this the most boring Grand final ever?

Yes it was the most boring grand final ever and the poor language following the game only served to help AFL's image in Sydney.

Well it seems I'm not the only one, it's R.I.P rugby league over at Big Footy. http://www.bigfooty.com/forum/showthread.php?t=201767

    TFS - Sydney Swans

I was there and that's indeed what they did and I'm not talking about a small section of the crowd either. Just before that I saw a couple of people in Wests Tigers jerseys being surrounded by the chant 'rugby league out real footy in'. Good to see Swannies fans basking in the glory of being the...

Is the Swannies media coverage in Sydney justified?

I believe the AFL is gradually eating away at rugby league's media space in Sydney and I'm not just talking about the last fortnight. The difference between this time and 96 is the AFL are cashed up to the max and have an extremely thorough gameplan in place to make it really work this time. The...

Is the Swannies media coverage in Sydney justified?

SO you are saying the AFL is not a threat in Sydney  You obvioulsy haven't seen the plans footy has for Sydney my friend. They are already making inroads through Auskick programs and the media if you haven't noticed and the fab result last Saturday will only accelerate the process. The...

Is the Swannies media coverage in Sydney justified?

This is the first time living in Sydney that I've felt the footy season is over before the NRL grand final has even been played. I know a lot of people who feel the same way. Once the Swans match ended last Saturday the footy season ended with it which is a weird thing to say in Sydney after an...

Is the Swannies media coverage in Sydney justified?

A Sydney victory would unlock greater riches September 24, 2005 A Swans win will bring new sponsors and members and lift attendance, writes Stephen Dabkowski. It's the AFL's Holy Grail. A Sydney victory in today's grand final would be a financial bonanza on top of what has already been a...

Is the Swannies media coverage in Sydney justified?

I'd say it has a strong market in Sydney, but I do agree it will take a Brisbane Lions type run by the Swans before it can challenge rugby league.
