    Langer stood down following DUI charge

    Well you could see that coming. Broncos = No credibility. Any club that does the same = No credibility. Langer was 3 times over the legal limit and got what amounts to a slap on the wrist by both the courts and the club. Absolutely disgusting.

    The only controversy I see is the media driven one. Gus often raises good points. But when it comes down to it, the points he does raise have no bearing on the rules under which the players of both teams take to the paddock. Gus may not like the rules. We may not like the rules. However...

    In case anyone is interested. Vossy (On the Sunday Roast) said they got it wrong (they being nine) and it was actually over the 40 seconds. That of course lead Phil onto another this is a stupid rule rant. Stupid rule or not the refs did nothing wrong. Smith was given a legit penalty.

    The coma had nothing to do with the high tackle. The high tackle and trip to hospital for a routine scan found Ritson had a brain brain cyst. You could say that high tackle saved his life.

    Adam Ritson. Career cut short due to brain cyst. He copped a head high tackle. Was sent for precautionary scans when the cyst was found. Went down hill from that point on.

    Two more points to add. If you look at the video (I don't have a link) of the incident you clearly see that Gibbs promotes his left knee prior to hitting Burt. Haynes tries to avoid his knees hitting Goodwin and makes contact with his thigh/hip .

    When the chicken wing tackle first came in it was deemed to be holding onto the arm while applying downward pressure. It was the forward motion in the Keating tackle that caused Hannant's arm to end up where it did. Each incident imo must be judged on its own merit.

    Greg Inglis avoids conviction over assault

    snipped Can't happen. Latu had his contract torn up by his Cronulla and was kicked out of the NRL prior to any court case. It was less then three days between the punch and Latu being given his marching orders. Helen
