The penalty wasn't as important as reinforcing all the point of all the "moaning" this week. Ross staying down after a tap, Burgess getting to his feet and attempting to play on despite a shoulder to the head.

    Solving the Diving issue

I believe that one of the refs saw it and said "Penalty, Penalty" but the other referee refused to blow it since SBW was standing up and ready to play the ball. That other ref? Cummins. Just a coincidence I guess :sarcasm:.

2015 NRL Jersey & Sponsorship Discussion

Tonight's jersey was a special edition with the Charity Nest Logo rather than the conventional Steggles Logo, with the numbers presumably ironed on. After the fiasco of the first half, they reverted to the normal jerseys with the Steggles logo.

    Willy Mason shoulder charge?

Burgess fell back way too easily considering the lack of speed of both players at the time of collision...

This video sums up why that pass was not forward: youtube . com/watch?v=box08lq9ylg&feature (Apologies for the discontinuous link, haven't reached 20 posts yet.)

    Penalty Differentials

With a 2-7 penalty count tonight, order has been restored. For the record, Bulldogs remarkably went from conceding 13 penalties last week to 2 tonight.

Will The Ref's Blow South Sydney To A Premiership?

Only an unreasonable person can say that this wasn't direct contact. I do agree with your view on Moa's tackle though, quite surprised he wasn't sent off.

Will The Ref's Blow South Sydney To A Premiership?

Except that wasn't the case - Burgess' bicep makes contact flush with SBW's face...not too dissimilar to a tackle made by JWH on George Rose last year which got him sent off I might add.

    '14 // R12 // Sat // Roosters 26-12 Raiders // Allianz

Well the pass was definitely not forward so the refs were wrong on that regards. Perhaps the commentators didn't see the forward signal from the ref and since they (along with most viewers I suspect) wouldn't even entertain the thought of that pass being forward, they probably thought the...

    Fittler is a sook

can anyone explain to me how a ball is called out by the ref if its still locked in the scrum? Why was there no penalty? And following that event, the next scrum we got, Maxwell could be heard saying 'get it out this time' - now surely the ref doesnt have the right to tell pearce to get it out...

    Hayne vs Inu

yes i am serious. If you get shot at, will you be the same person again? It takes time to get over these things, the experience just doesn't disappear with a flick of the wrists.

    Hayne vs Inu

i tend to disagree as Hayne's form this year has been affected as a result of the attempted shooting at the Cross. Since then he is still battling the after effects from that event, and as much as he says he's over it, deep down he knows he isnt. Kinda disappointing because his future was bright...

    20/20 at the olympics?

how bout a 10/10 game, that will bring more innovative shots to the plate and what not. The major problem is that it may conflict with other nations' scheduling of games so cricket in the olympics would currently be in the 'too hard' basket.

A long road ahead to the finals

i have a good feeling about our stretch towards the finals. Our dependency on kicks have slowly diminished and ball movement is on the rise again. I believe that Freddy has held back this new game plan until now - remember those slick movements in the first 3-5 matches? They slowly disappeared...
