Unfortunately my doctor cancelled my licence due to my medical issues and not having driven here in over 15 years.
So my only recourse is to watch the games on Fox. That's life....bummer
You can catch the train. Carlton Station is quite close to Jubilee.

Plus train travel is free once you know how.

It’s all the rage with AFL fans..

Now if that’s not natural selection in action....

Cristicism is fine.

When we lose 40-4, and 38-0 to bottom 4 sides, of course the side deserves what it gets.

What gets me is that people were bagging the team and the coach even though we had been in the top 4 for all but 2 weeks of the season. That makes no logical sense.

People don’t have to like Mary or the administration, I get that. But to gleefully gloat when then the side goes bad just to tell everybody I told you so makes no sense when we’re all supposed to be fans.

And I’m not talking about the resident trolls. I couldn’t give 2 shits about them. They are a waste of space. I’m talking about genuine fans who still like to bag the team just coz they don’t like this person or that person. Stand an applaud when the team goes well and be happy to be wrong. You’ll feel better.

Just support the boys for this week at least. Plenty of time to bag them in the off-season.

i wasn't stroking the chicken when we were winning & atop the ladder.

you'll find my posts were urging caution because it was early days & under jowls, we'd been down that path before - start like a missile, end like a squashed earwig.

i did however in the spirit of generosity credit him with progressing us from May premiers to June.

The whole week before the broncos game, everyone was posting positive support.
Hardly read a negative sentence.

As far as previous weeks go, fans were scathing of us losing something like 7 of the final 10 games.
Any coach or team losing 7/10 should be bagged.
Regardless, the whole forum was supportive the week prior the final series, so not sure what your point is.

The notion of a “true” fan is ridiculous
You are either a fan or you are not, it is that simple really.
If you want to be a fan that only cheers and never expresses an opinion re players, coaches, tactics so be it.
If you are a fan that both cheers and criticises so be that as well.
If you get up each day and think that the Dragons are your team then you are a fan pure and simple.
So in the end we are all fans with differing views and opinions as is the case with any boardroom or organisation. God help us if we were all clones.
Just because you don’t agree with my position or take on things it doesn’t give anyone any right to question my sincerity as to who I support as I said I support the team and that should be accepted as being true.
It is very apparent that many support the team and all the structures around it whilst others support the team itself and hold little or no allegiance for the organisation around it.
We should all accept that and not bring into question the legitimacy of who you say you support.
The real question is are there apologists, optimists, pessimists and curmudgeons within our fan base and IMHO the answer is unequivocally yes, but in the end we are all fans and therefore all equal with no one being a “truer” fan than another.

PS
I forgot to ask did anyone professing to be a “true” fan fail to pick them in any rounds in their tipping comp or maybe have a wager against the team with Sportsbet?

I see myself as a massive fan, a diehard. I spend a lot of my down time thinking about footy and the dragons. I'm dedicated to my family and work first and foremost but directly after that are my Dragons.
I have never been a member and rarely go to watch games live though, I don't really enjoy nrl live. I find its a better game on tv with commentary, warmth and a fridge full of cold, full strength beer.
Does the fact that I don't go to games very often make me any less of a fan than someone who buys a seasons pass every year?
I don't think so personally.

Certainly doesn't make you any less of a fan. On the other hand, I can't help feeling you're missing out if you don't go to a game now and then.

Unless the game is at ANZ. Then you're not missing anything.

Tipped them every game. Currently running 14th out of 31 in the office tipping comp. But that's the heart vs head arguement - who I tip or bet on should bear no relationship to true fanability.

This year I have been to the following-
State of Origin Sydney
Dragons vs Tigers Kogarah
Dragons vs Roosters Alliance
Sharks vs Broncos Shark Park
I have to say I didn't really enjoy any of them. I prefer watching on tv.
I also have GF tix.

i bet with my head not my heart even if it’s my own team but I’ve been a paid up member for ten years so my loyalty and support for the club isn’t in question and you’re right it’s one or the other you can’t be half pregnant I think a lot of people are pragmatic when it comes to form and recent history and that gets confused for being disloyal but you can’t please everyone all of the time
