It. Was. A. Cheap. Shot.

He took an easy shot at a player he wanted out of the game. And got served at the end as a result.
Meh, it was legal. No cheap shot. You wanna play league, prepare to be hurt.

Look at the video, he wasn't on the ground. On the way down but not down

Yes it was a cheap shot but they will open up a can of worms if they charge him. What charge do you want?

You can see the roosters players hold him up on purpose so his back becomes exposed.. but despite all this it is true.. what can you charge him with? No matter how much it looks like a cheap shot i am pretty sure it is not an illegal tackle no?

No, but I bet Freddy isn't please with that 16 point haul Souths managed in the final 30... I know if I were a Roosters fan I wouldn't be either. Irrespective of the game being out of reach letting in three tries is dumb football.

That's Football? Get real mate, it was a dirty cheap shot and if justice prevails he'll either be cited or injured himself. Wing was tackled and the dirty thug came in late as third man and went straight for his back. Surely not even you can be that hopelessly biased you can't see the cheap shot being taken?

Wing could legally still offload the ball. He was not held at all.

I can see that a shot was put on Wing. I know that if it were not Wing then Brown probably wouldnt have come in for the special treatment. But as I said, thats football. Name me one player in the entire league who doesnt cop a bit of stick when he plays his old club for the first time.

Whats more Wing carried on like pork chop in the weeks leading up to this game. None of the players appreciated that, and I've no doubt intended to rough him up a bit within the rules because of it.

Its just unfortunate that Wing's shoulder popped out.

I have Foxtel IQ and Wing's butt was on the ground.
Whoop-dee-f**king-doo. So do I, and it wasn't on the ground. loL is having IQ your big bragging right, feck me, grow up. You make it sound like its something so exclusive

Look a the link below, its not on the ground. And here is a quote from Wingy re: the tackle:

We started it at the Roosters. It's an interesting tactic and it worked I guess but I think that's more to try and drive a player back than put a cheap shot on him," said Wing.

"If you can hold someone up and get a third man in and drive them back, it's a good tackle.

"I'm sure that they probably wanted to put a little extra into each tackle I was in ... If I was in the same position I probably would have done the same thing.

"It's just unlucky on my behalf."

he was as good as, Brown had no business coming into the tackle and he lent down so he could charge with the shoulder it's not like he was already committed to a shoulder charge. That kind of tackle should be fazed out of the game Wing was lucky to just get a dislocated shoulder.

Oooooh say now he was as good as, what happened to being on the ground aye? Nice changing of story, sorry champ you already lost face. Tackle was not completed, ref did not call held. Too bad too sad. Quit while you're ahead...

Who gives a sh!t. The only thing that matters is that we comprehensively beat Souffs. All this other stuff is inconsequential

there's a couple of ex Roosters in the Broncos team that could give him a dose of his own medicine.

there was no reason for Brown to come in, the tackle was almost complete.

Almost being the operative word.

Brown did a good job at completing it

Should players not be allowed to offload when a tackle is almost complete?

I'm pretty sure the Roosters players that began the tackle had the ball covered. Also offloading the ball mid-tackle isn't as potentially dangerous as what Brown did.

no I don't, I have been a fan of Many my whole life, a fan of Melbourne for 11 years. You don't have to be a fan of the player(in Craig's case I am because he played for NSW) to know that the way that player was tackled is wrong.
