On last night, we were lucky to get out of jail - the Cowboys grew an extra leg after O'Donnell was sent off, and were by far the better team in the back end of the match. The Cows kept hammering our line with wave after wave - our defence was not impressive as it looked, because we had the one man advantage.

And what of the first half when the Cowboys had a full complement of 13 men, and we still held off their repeated sets of six on our line? I'd say that our defence was rock solid. Besides, the Cowboys first two tries were freakish and down to luck more than anything.

I can't understand why Harrigan could not make the call on the Graham try - there was no evidence whatsoever that it was grounded - perhaps he wanted to test the first gamer, who knows!

If your theory is correct, it's kind of a dangerous way of testing a first game Ref don't you think? After all, he didn't see the put down clearly which is why he sent it upstairs to Harrigan. Harrigan sends it back "Ref's call" He's bound to give the Cowboys the benefit of the doubt. Hypothetically, if Thurston gets the conversion, Full time: Cowboys: 20 Penrith :18, Game over. And your basically handing the Cowboys a win on a try which should have never been allowed in the first place!

No... I'll stick with my own theory thanks i.e.: That a Chimpanzee could have done a better job than Harrigan on Video last night.

I was relieved more than jubilant when Sammut kicked over that really ugly field goal.

I was actually quite Jubilant, as the right team won, the better team won and we thoroughly deserved to win!:thumb

Hayne - Suspension
Gasnier - Injury

We need 2 backs to replace them. Jamie Lyon will most likely get selected. I hope to god Luke Lewis isn't picked... we're going to need him against the Sharks.

If you got sent for that, you would give the guy a gobful as well. No send off and good on O'Donnell for telling us what most knew- the touchie was stupid!

Good result by the Cows but unfortunately we didn't come away with the points.
Sadly, this was the train to catch I think and we missed it.

I look forward to getting a good last run and starting fresh next year.

Yes, we were the better team in the first half - and those two late tries they scored were freaks of nature, hard to defend against them.

I didn't think it was the case - it was more tongue in cheek more than anything, but Bill surely had enough evidence to give it "No Try".

 Hard to argue.

I was happy no doubt, but was overcome with relief all the same, because the match should never have gone into golden point.

Raising your elbow into the chin of a tackler, twice, isn't exactly the work of Einstein either

If O'Donnell doesn't elbow Lewis in the chops there is nothing for the touchie to bugger up

It was as soft as butter. Yes there was a elbow but it was hardly forceful and it was a overreaction. Nothing would please me more than for that touchie to never be seen in first grade again.

 Look who's talking, Ash Harrison, ahahaha fool.

Penrith have had such an easy draw! Take a look:

Raiders
Rabbitohs
Tigers (without key players)
Bye
Bulldogs
Warriors
Bye
Cowboys (without Bowen and eventually with only eleven men)

Without a doubt one of the easiest draws you will ever see. I reckon it will be interesting to see how the Panthers go against some quality opposition.

There's no such thing as an easy draw for Penrith. Last year we almost lost every game we were expected to win and caused a few upsets.

Besides, in that list we lost to the Raiders. We've won at Toyota Stadium, Dairy Farmers Stadium and beaten the Dogs and Tigers away as well. We've secured home wins v souths and warriors. We deserve our place at the moment, pretty silly saying teams don't deserve what they get.

Am sure Lewis wouldn't say it wasn't forceful, the fact he got up so quickly showed it was soft as butter :sarcasm:

Anyone? Anyone?

Someone must have been good for the Cows ...

I thought Travis Burns lifted them when he came on. O'Donnell was playing well before the send off, Steve Southern was also quite good but got what looked to be a serious arm injury in golden point time, and Daniel Abraham was pretty good as well. But overall it was a better finish than expected to an average game with a lot of average performances from both sides.

rather live in the shire then out in the sticks heard of a beach you country bumpkin

Ever heard of a personality and other cultures other than your own f*cktard??

Yeah, plenty of nice beaches in Thailand and Vietnam where racist shire wankers like you don't intimidate people in an effort to make them try and leave because "Oh.. they're not from round ere are they?"

Nicer beaches overseas than in the shire... but then again, I guess you'll never know not being able to afford travel on "jobseekers allowance"
