Why does watching the rest of the game make a difference about the refs doing everything possible to get the Dragons back into the game:

a) Not penalizing the dragons for diving into the ruck. It has been penalized all year. Dragons score from the ensuing scrum. Try gave the Dragons all the momentum

b) Ridiculous head high penalty againt Tonga

c) Last try awarded to Hornby when he was at least 2m offside

not sure if you watched the last 20 minutes either

WOW!

Only watched the last 20 minutes BUT the refs did EVERYTHING possible to get the Dragons back into that game.

Tell me, how can you comment on an 80 min contest, having only watched 20 mins?

The first 20 mins was the reason for what you saw, it was the mandatory square up.

Because you missed what happened in the first 60 minutes.
You don't know what happened in the first 60...how do you know the ref's didn't do everything possible to give the Titans a 20 point lead at half time?

We played sh*t in the first half and like young just said coming back in the 2nd isnt good enough but proud of them to come back

Exactly. In the end the Titans were the better team for 80mins.

It's too bad not all Dragons fans think like you.

11 min: PENALTY Titans - and this one has dudded Saints here - Campbell's been taken out in the contest for a high ball, but it was by Scott Prince - his own teammate.

14 min: VIDEO REFEREE - Possible Titans try. And the "tapping the ball" debacle will rage for days after this one. Nightingale has missed the high ball and Chris Walker taps it over his head and goes on to score. Lucky stuff if they get it... AND Walker looks offside.

15 min: TRY Gold Coast Titans
Prince puts a kick through for Chris Walker on the wing, and while Walker looks marginally offside, he gets through, taps it over Nightingale who was already slipping over, and Paul Simpkins is happy to award it with Benefit of the Doubt. Conversion attempt by Scott Prince successful.
Gold Coast Titans 8-2

Was there any bottle throwing by the Dragon's fans?
Will the officials be sacked? Or does that only happen if you f#ck up on the last play of the game?

:)

There's a difference you know - decisions in the final minute cannot be rectified by the team that is wronged. The decisions against your team happened after 15 minutes, when you could've made amends.

Same goes for NSW last week.

Can you dispute Nightingale should have been awarded a try, therefore not allowing the Titans the opportunity to score their 1st?
Be unbiased and answer the question.

I didnt see that, but you are probably right.
Does not change the fact you went in 3 tries to nil down at half time.

Same could be said last week when Idris was denied a try for the Bulldogs. Subsequently the knights scored shortly after making it 20 - 0 instead of 14-6

You get good calls and bad, in the end the Titans outplayed them completely in the first half which is where the game was won.

Don't forget Nightingale picked up the ball and scored it should have been a Dragons try. Oh well sometimes you get calls :) and sometimes you don't :(.

Best monday night football game in a long time. Even with Chris Walker's try that was not a try AND Head diving on the ball that resulted in a try. All said and done those two cancelled each other out and the Titans played better in the first half then just did enough in the second to snuff out the Dragons fight back.

I was impressed with the Titans game plan in the first half which was perfect for playing the Dragons. We found it hard to compose ourselves after the first try to the Titans and it hurt us badly. Too many stupid penalties and our defence was weak (it has previously been our big weapon in the first half).

I was even more impressed with the Dragons fight back in the second half. It has never really been seen under Wayne yet if the Saints could play good football when the other side is way in front and seems to have our measure. The grind out of trouble from Saints was inspiring and we may need that going into the second half of the season and the finals.

Congratulations to the Titans, they deserved to win and totally played Saints out of the game in the first half. Might see you finals time.

Too little too late, the first 20 mins killed us.

And guess what, that ref call that denied us a legit try in the first 5 mins decided another game. but hey it didn't come in the final min so nothing will be made of it

**edit** but me re-iterate, well played Titans. You earned the points

seriously, if you tried using your brain for 2 seconds you'd realise that if the try is awarded in the first 5 mins, the rest of the game doesn't happen. Titans might have gone on to win 60-6 for all you know. To think that if the try was awarded implies you win the game 30-28 is really really ummmm duhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Suck 'em up Saints... the headlines will read Titans winners... start worrying about next match because that's something you can control.

Get your hand off it jimmy

You really think a 12 point turnaround didn't affect the flow of the game and the end scoreline? I never said it would've won us the game, and i credited the win to the Tits playing better footy. But it didn't even get a mention in the post match, because it happened early in the game. It was a woeful decision, imagine if that was a grand final.
