Nothing was said after 2005, people assumed he'd retired. But he played on. He retired at the end of 2006 from rep football, and the only time that's changed has been for All Golds matches which are basically historical exhibition matches. If people keep asking you, isn't it up to you whether you say yes or no? I don't see the issue, whatsoever, and frankly if blokes like Jones, who has no off field controversies, want to still be involved with our game I hardly see it how it as a negative.
As far as 'not loving the media', one of the reasons he left the Warriors at the end of 2005 was due to the media, the fishbowl effect.
