Knights won :)D), Warriors lost. They were outplayed. However credit where credit is due, they really stuck their foot in and put us to the sword.

Does it feel empty knowing you wouldn't have won but for some of the worst refereeing ever seen?

Actually, I'm doing it tongue in cheek. Those commentators were a f**king disgrace to humanity. However, he was in line at the very least.

The Warriors never stuck their foot in. The Knights dozed off and nearly got their pants pulled down.

You must have a super TV JM. You may want to consider trading it in for an accurate model.

It is a super TV, it works just fine.

I never said it wasn't a try, but the decision not to even go to the video ref was pretty baffling.

That'd be different than a Johns wankathon I take it?

Not sure what Andrew Johns has to do with this?

I was being nice.. :sarcasm: Can't be bothered continuing the argument really. Happy to get the win in the end.

Whoever quoted Skeepe on the previous page, can you do everyone a favour who has him on ignore and just mention his name rather than quote him

Does it feel empty to know that your team were proven to have cheated the salary cap to win a premiership?

Now go dry your eyes, sook!

Definitely worth taking him off ignore for that game, win or lose (lol).

JM, of course it should have gone to the video referee. I have no argument with that. When all's said and done though I'm sure as you and I have both said it would have been ruled a try, at the worst him being in line with Jones. I'm sick of referees ignoring the video referee, the problem with the video referee is not the AMOUNT of decisions they make, its when Russell Smith decides to take 7 minutes to make culpably basic decisions. They've now got gun shy after some media attention. The Bulldogs copped a couple of horrific decisions a couple of weeks ago against the Sharks because the referees did not want to use the technology.

JM, you talk of a Jones wankathon. And I can't disagree. The commentators were supporting him ad nauseum. But I've heard it all before with Andrew Johns, and basically anytime Ben Ikin commentates the Broncos. Frankly, when Ikin commentates the Broncos its nauseating.

The difference is that Jones isn't even playing well and he's a glory hog who keeps coming out of retirement so he can read the headlines about "The Saviour" and "The Little Master" returning.

Refs were desperately trying to keep the warriors in the game - I have never heard a winning crowd give it to them like that - deserved, too. one call went to the knights all game (gids staying) and the mckinnon try they were blatantly off side and didn't check.

and the crusade put kemp off with that easy kick he missed - we are proud... haha

oh, and no one got bashed, because there were no manly fans there bashing 50 year olds.

great day - and reading skeepe's delusions has added the comic edge. :D

He did play well against Manly. Aside from some of his kicking against Souths, I thought he was above average again.

I don't think the reason behind his comeback had anything to do with media stigma. Stacey has at times been slow to lap up the media. Infact, I would almost guarantee that to be the case. I think he would be quite happy to slip away into family life. Saviour? Little Master? Pffft, get it right, his nickname has and always will be the Little General.

I don't see the issue, and if there is any it certainly has nothing to do with the need to get back in the media limelight. I'm sure Stacey would happily do without that, so I think you're kidding yourself even suggesting it.

The Warriors would have won were it not for the referees macavity, that is an undeniable fact. At no stage were the refs trying to keep the Warriors in it. If you're talking about the penalty for a blatant leg pull, when has that not been a penalty?

f**k me Knights fans are a deluded bunch.

They should have been bowing down at the feet of the referees, given that they single-handedly gifted them 14 points.

Firstly, I really don't care what his nickname is.

I'd be less cynical if he hadn't come out of rep retirement a handful of times before this. If he really would be happy just to slip back into family life then he's had several opportunities to do it. Just because he doesn't come out in the papers declaring he loves the attention doesn't mean he doesn't enjoy it.

It's really not an issue for me at all, just something I've noticed and it was in context so I said it.

haha you are a funny man.

wuzzies get a try from an off-side mckinnon, another "ref's call" when it was never grounded, de gois gets put out with an unpenalised high tackle, refs miss an assortment of off-sides and knock ons from the wuzzies, they have the tackle count started numerous times for no reason... and they would have won if the refs were kind to them?

delusion is your game, skeepe.

Hold on... rep retirement? He retired in 2004. He came out of rep retirement through the 2005 Tri Nations. After being prompted by... Steve Price. Nothing was said after 2005, people assumed he'd retired. But he played on. He retired at the end of 2006 from rep football, and the only time that's changed has been for All Golds matches which are basically historical exhibition matches. If people keep asking you, isn't it up to you whether you say yes or no? I don't see the issue, whatsoever, and frankly if blokes like Jones, who has no off field controversies, want to still be involved with our game I hardly see it how it as a negative.

As far as 'not loving the media', one of the reasons he left the Warriors at the end of 2005 was due to the media, the fishbowl effect.
