No surprises here, the Dragons were beat because of their inability to score more than 18 points.

18 points is more than enough, we were beat due to poor discipline and the knights being good enough to capitalise on that. good game by the knights

If this happen last year i would have been upset , but not this year the knights played verywell i thought they unlucky not to have won by more ,

Reason why im not furious with the dragons it was their first bad game for the year
probably because the dragons started off with hard games and played well you cant expect the wins all the time.

wtf? did u miss the post where i listed all the things the DRAGONS did wrong? and then praised the Knights for playing a great game?

we didn't lose because of the ref ignoring the around the neck business. we lost coz we played like crap.

that doesnt change the fact there was alot of dirty stuff going on that was ignored.

Brian Smith has done a great job turning the Knights around after Hagan left the place in a mess.

I still remember the bagging he copped over the Reynoldson affair, yeah it was mostly the Terrorgraph, but the reactions to that were pathetic. The place needed a cleanout and he was doing exactly that. Smith may have not won a premiership, but he is a very good coach. He turned Parramatta into a force when they were a rabble, and he seems to be doing the same now.

I wish the Tigers played with half as much heart as Newcastle do. Anyway, since Smith won't win a premiership, can you guys sack him at the end of the year, I'll take him.

perhaps I should explain - I don't think the Knights were any worse around the neck than you guys were.

My mail is Smith and Bennett are the only two coaches who don't allow their wrestling coaches to teach head control - so I dont think either team was that bad compared to what other teams try. Watching Manly/Souths now, and that is much much worse IMO.

Dragons didn't play crap, we just played better. :)
Was a good quality game - the Dragons don't usually get dominated up front though, so maybe that is why it looked like they were playing crap.

Ohh and by the way... Knights forwards happened to dominate.

lol.. i hope the dragons players are feeling as over-confident as their fanbase.

under-estimate our forward pack at your own peril. we may not have the big names, but i'm very confident in our pack to be the equal of any in the comp. our back row is sublime, and our props are all no-nonsense type blokes that play the role they're given well.
:D

honestly though, it was a cracking game of football with plenty of entertainment and 2 good sides going at it. weyman would have made a big difference for the dragons tonight, they missed his go forward (although they still had plenty of it at times).

when all is said and done though, our attack was awesome at times and our defense held when the chips were down and it needed to.

chins up dragons fans... it wasn't your night tonight, but when you get weyman back next week i think it will complete your forward pack again. i still can't see you blokes dropping too many games this year and you'll be a force to be reckoned with further than the first 5 rounds. soward is in brilliant form and when your pack lays the platform down he is devastating.

f**king stoked with the win though! i had a feeling that this match would tell me a lot about our chances this year... and i really liked what i saw. we have oodles of improvement left in us yet.. and with simpson and uate to come back into the side in the next couple of weeks, i'm very optimistic about our season.
