Easts will get to a prelim at least.

I expect nothing less than a GF from us.

Just...stop.

Given how everyone loves to use history, history says Rabbits won't make it. Not saying that despite my feelings towards the club, but it's written in the books.

Yes , roosters lost first round last year . The excuse given last year was that the team had many new team members and the team would need time to come together.

There is NO excuse this year , except that Roosters think being fortunate to win the GF last year means a walk up start in 2014.

Souths will be hungry to make the GF in 2014 , whilst the Roosters will be BBQing .

Lol u can't nake this stuff up. You were by far the better team tonight. Congratulations. Take it for what it is though. 2 points nothing more nothing less

BunniesMan says it on purpose. The dude is a self confessed real life loser that gets off on those dumb predictions.

At least we'll be fighting Souffs for the spoon now.

Rabbitohs better prepared, looked in regular season mode early on. The Roosters scratchy in attack & exposed a few times in defence. Yeah, virtually the same winning margin as last year - no panic for the defending champs, but Souths have improvement ink them too.

Did anyone think that the Roosters struggled to adjust to the new faster speed of the ruck?

The number of faster play the balls led to lots more missed tackles by the Roosters

Rule changes rarely benefit Premiers

It won't mean anything if we don't keep it enough. But the Minor Premiership was decided on points differential last year. If Souths and Roosters are both up there, getting the two points can have significance

I think not ready perhaps? These new rules suit the Rabbitohs to a tee though. Suits fast mobile forwards and teams who are fit. Madge is probably the biggest fitness nut of all the coaches. That said, Roosters have never looked fitter since Robbo started. Will just be a matter of time adjusting

I think teams will suffer for carrying a utility instead of four forwards this year.

Just think if the world was to end right now Souths would be premiers by default. Its probably their best chance of a premiership. Pray for a giant meteor to destroy the earth before the weekend.

I think Roosters just played shit.

But I do think it's tailor made for Luke's game. If 50uff$ can't win this season, they never will.

Thats what you said last year and look how that turned out.

That one goes straight to the signature
Can someone explain to me why it's wrong or unreasonable or dumb or bad or stupid or whatever else seems to be the problem with expecting us to go one game better than we did last year AND the year before?

History says Easts wont go back to back. Hasnt stopped them being favourites.

Eh Luke looked slow off the mark and between the ears to me

I think he will be under a lot of pressure from Cameron McInnes this year

Meh. We turned up, Roosters didn't.

2 points in the bag and make sure we turn up with the same intensity again next week.

I feel for Parra next week. The Roosters will get absolutely drilled at training and you can guarantee they'll be switched on.

Because if you paid attention to any year, the team in form at the start of the year is not always the same team in form at the end of the year

Last year for example

Round 1-10 Storm were the best
Round 11-20 Rabbitohs were the best
Round 21 - GF Roosters were the best

Because it's round one. Better yet, this was the very first game. What if 4 other teams this week are going to put in better performances than South Sydney tonight? It's round one so by your logic, they'll do better than the Rabbits due to their performances. But that doesn't matter because they're not South Sydney, right?

What if the rabbits get whooped next week? Injuries still to pile on? You simply can't sit there and be so confident when so much can happen. That's why you're copping it.
