Knights have had a better season despite their off field woes. They have had a horrible start with injuries prior to season kick off then the McKinnon incident. Now their main playmaker is back in comparison raiders have had a blissful off season
Yep, and on top of that they've had 4 away games including to Melbourne, NQ and Canberra (5 days apart) and in the one close away game against Penrith in round 1 the fullback, hooker and halfback went down and didn't return on top of Mullo who didn't play.
We've only really played 3 halves of terrible footy. Against NQ (which frankly I expected after the emotion of the week before) and the 2nd half against Penrith in round 1 which I can give them a break for considering we lost the whole spine and had most of the team playing out of position. They almost beat Canberra in round 2 and Melbourne in round 3 and easily would have if we had one of Mullo or Boyd. There's also the sad fact that we had 2 blokes arrested in the offseason (one went to jail), the constant media Storm that we won't have an owner or a coach next season, and of course the tragedy that happened to McKinnon whom is a very much loved teammate.
Did we Knights supporters think we'd be in a better position at this stage of the season? Of course. But all things considered I think we're doing as well as we could. Despite how many butthurt Canberra fans try and tell us we're shit and should be embarrassed I'm still incredibly proud of the way the side has handled itself.
