I agree with that. Particularly given that field goal attempts usually happen in golden point type situations. The 7 tackle set is then enough for the other team to get all the way down to the other end and take a shot. There should be an exception when attempting a field goal.

It shouldn't be in the rules.

f**king stupid rule.

Im biased but certainly not to the same degree you are. You are penriths skeepe.
Winners can grin and losers can please themselves.

Honestly mate, do you expect any Penrith supporter to say they should have lost this game. After we didn't see the ball for the entire last 20 and had to tackle our guts out. Maybe you could contact the Penrith club and ask them nicely if they'd mind donating the two points to the Raiders because you think you should have won.

50/50 call with the field goal, can see why raiders fans would be pissed.

As for the no try's, all were no try's.

Cheers for the points lads.

I dont mind the 7 tackle rule to stop teams kicking fullbacks out the game but its a kick in the arse. Like lee dropping the bomb was a 7 tackle set and its just brutal. Its not like the raiders were being defensive either.

A tackle or 2 before the Wallace field goal we had a player held down for an eternity. Definitely a penalty

It was Baptiste holding the leg of the standing player.

We sucked for 65 minutes today, the Panthers ended up sucking for less time. Refs weren't great but we had enough ball in the 20 to put you guys to bed in the second half.

Papalii scored. Clear vision of the ball touching the ground.

Bullshit decision.

No but id certainly expect you guys to have a passing understanding of the rules. Saying Vaughan was inside the 10 was hilarious though

There's a few posts from Panthers fans who could at least concede it was a penalty. Saying it was a penalty isn't saying the Panthers should have lost.

I actually like the fact there is a disincentive to just going for a field goal haphazardly. Miss and give the opposition the a prime chance to return serve.
It puts more options on the table, go for a try, force them down their end with a return from inside their 10. Run the ball and get tackled a metre out for a turn over, so you can set up better next time.

19-18 ft to the Panthers.

I'll leave now as other Panthers supporters will,so Raiders fans can have a meltdown in this thread.

If it helps, that field goal shouldn't have been awarded.

But like any season, you're going to cop shit calls. And the Raiders in that 2nd half did have enough ball to win by 20.

Thanks for the score, however it would mean a great deal to me if Skeepe could give me the final score please :)

Care to pull up the frame for the rest of us then? Only views I saw were either short or with Moylan's hand/wrist underneath it before being obscured from view.

I do think it was likely it was grounded after being obscured but there was nothing to convince me the no try ruling should have been overturned.
