Id rather we just go back to benefit of the doubt to the attacker.,if the ref had randomly decided that papalii scored it would have been try.

Most tries like that are schrodinger's try existing in both a state of try and no try. Its based on a refs initial call and so rarely overturned that its just a waste of my life it being sent up stairs

I just came on here looking for a bit of loving after another Raiders loss and I just get abused and humiliated by the same biased Raiders fans who don't handle their losses very well. Looking forward to the Stuart presser :)

A few penalties in the ruck weren't awarded to the Panthers. Not to mention a couple were we lost the ball.

But overall, you have to credit both sides for a good, tight contest.

Sides always miss ruck penalties. Lees knock on in the first half was a clear as day strip by you blokes.

Every line break we made you sat on the tackled guy like it was going out of fashion.

That is all well and good.

Even though we may still have lost, how the bunker did not see vaughn impeded by the marker sticking out his arm to stop him and then merrin dropping his body i to him was gutting..

Yes we had a lot of ball in the last twenty die to u blokes dropping simple balls.. and yes we could have done more with it. But that call was gutting... just gutting especially when u cop so many 50 50 no try calls in the same match.

I thought the video refs did fine based on the decisions the refs sent them up as. Gut field goal was a funny one, id love to look back at the last 5 years fg attempts. I'm sure it's a common practice to block and be a merkin.

It is the nrl brought the wall rule in this year.

Anyways whatever cant change it now

Well there wasn't really a wall there.

There is already a rule about interfering with the markers though. Not sure it would have been a penalty even then, Vaughan did seem to milk it.

As a neutral it was an enjoyable game without being spectacular, and it seemed the Raiders may have been a bit unlucky compared to the Panthers but also struggled to execute properly.

Any fan in the same boat as Raiders fans today would feel a bit hard done by, and also disappointed with their team's lack of execution.

Any fan in the same situation as Panther's fans today, would be happy to get a win but also a bit disappointed at letting the other side back in, and having to ride some luck to get home.

Both sides played well in patches, and obviously have plenty they can improve on. Both sides look well placed to move up the ladder if they can make those small improvements.

That's a pretty fair write up. Lee bombed a try and then probably bombed another with the double movement.

Iys the best we've defended in ages

I think there was evidence to over turn the Papalii try
I think it's ridiculous to send that FG up stairs asking about interference, see the interference and allow it to stand

But ultimately we played probably 20 minutes of football today. We shouldn't win games when we only play 1/4 of the game of competent football.
Panthers deserved the win, even though I feel like we probably got a bit screwed out of winning very ugly

I recall when the game was in the balance for St George last year in the finals and the markers were interfered with, the walls were offside and the players attempting to block the field goal was offside. Refs seem to be very reluctant to have input there

Bullshit.

You should have lost and you f**king know it.

Raiders scored 6 tries, had 2 of them scandalously taken off them for no other reason than the NRL script said a Penrith win.

The Panthers were guilty of an obstruction in the lead up to the field goal, but it was disgracefully not penalised.

You guys had the refs in your back pocket, just admit it. Doesn't change the result, but if I was a Panthers fan I'd feel pretty bloody dirty about not actually earning a win.

If you were a Panthers fan your list of referee f**k ups would look different. Your teams never lose on their own. It's always the refs fault.

The better team won despite trying to throw the game away.
